Has a good chance of completing a hat-trick following wins over 1m4f at Newcastle and here last time over 1m3f where stayed on grimly to get up in last strides off 4lb lower mark. Step back up a furlong will help the cause.

Off the mark at the eighth time of asking, having gone close a few times previously, when scoring by eight lengths over C&D four weeks ago. 9lb rise no great surprise but young rider's 7lb claims offsets most of that and has to be respected.

Showed ability in five starts for Mark Johnston, but did the business on debut for current connections over C&D seemingly revelling in step up to 1m4f. May not have been the best race and mark remains unchanged, but is unexposed at this trip.

Won over 7f for Mark Johnston at Musselburgh in April and was second here over 1m3f for current yard last month. Disappointed over C&D last time so needs to find more to get on the scoresheet.

Four starts for Roger Varian at up to 1m4f without troubling the judge and makes debut for new connections. First handicap outing but may be ring-rusty after nine months off and others are preferred.

Forecasts

Sashenka (6/4), Sweet Celebration (2/1), City Tour (7/2), Capla Crusader (8/1), Dalakina (25/1)

Verdict

SASHENKA is taken to just get the better of Sweet Celebration and complete an All Weather hat-trick. She needed every yard of the 1m3f last time to score and the return to this longer trip wil help the cause. Sweet Celebration is feared despite a hike in the weights and should go well, while Capla Crusader, a surprise C&D winner last time in a novice auction stakes, is expected to play his part as well. The other two have work to do to get involved.
