Although he has to give 7lb and more away all round, THRILLA IN MANILLA is fancied to regain the winning thread. He won a decent Newbury maiden on his only start last year and looked in need of the run and was outclassed in a Group 3 on his recent reappearance. This is an easier task. Venture makes his debut for new connections but is interesting on the strength of a good run behind the smart Fox Champion here last year. If he is fit and well he could be a threat, while Montys Inn is open to improvement after showing promise on his recent debut. Hieronymus and Fujaira King have a squeak but will need to step it up to score.
