8/1
Bumper winner who is 0-11 over hurdles. Could be given a chance on some form, but returns after almost a year off and there has to be some concern over soft ground for him.

Outrathb8
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-11| J: Jonjo O'Neill Jr.| T: J & S Best| OR:  94| D

Sole win came in an AW bumper in 2014. 0-11 over hurdles, but has been fairly consistent in recent months. Acts on soft. Should be thereabouts.
3
Horse silk
Baratineur273
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-11| J: R Patrick| T: A Wintle| OR:  94| D
25/1
Dual bumper winner who is 1-27 over hurdles. Was frustrating earlier in the year when with Sam England, finishing a close second on all three starts for her. Was up 6lb to this mark for debut for this trainer, when pulled up, so has a bit to prove.
4

Out On The Tear22
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-9| J: Charlie Price| T: S Allwood| OR:  92
5/1
Had shown very little until a better effort at Hereford last time, when he took a keen hold up front before weakening. Based on that, he looks reasonably treated on his handicap debut, provided he can settle better.

No Alarmp25
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-7| J: Edward Austin(3)| T: A Forbes| OR:  90
33/1
Scored over 2m4½f (good to soft) at Market Rasen in March, when 2lb higher and with Olly Murphy. Has not come close to that effort in five subsequent starts, the last three for this trainer.

Pete's Choicep22
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-5| J: Cillin Leonard(5)| T: Miss Z C Davison| OR:  88
10/1
Could be given a chance from this mark based on a couple of pieces of form at Plumpton and Lingfield (handicap debut) last winter. Has struggled since, including on his return from wind surgery recently. Bit to prove, but on a dangerous mark.
7

All Good Thingsb,t10
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-11| J: Stan Sheppard| T: M Sheppard| OR:  80
2/1
Won a heavy ground Limerick maiden hurdle last year when trained in Ireland. Had lost his way a bit earlier in the year, but back in better form lately. Handicapper giving him a chance. Not ruled out.

Fillydelphiap11
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-4| J: Danny McMenamin| T: L Bailey| OR:  73
22/1
Soft ground Flat winner who is 0-8 over hurdles. Well held third on her return to this sphere over C&D (heavy) last time. Not ruled out of the frame, but plenty more needed to break her hurdles duck.
9
Horse silk
Agentleman33
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-2| J: K Yeoman(7)| T: P Winks| OR:  71
18/1
1-20 over fences, but 0-10 in this discipline, and impossible to fancy on any recent form.
10
Horse silk
Willettt,v23
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-0| J: C Brace| T: Sarah Hollinshead| OR:  83
28/1
Runner-up in a Class 6 Flat handicap (1m, good) in August, but well held in all three hurdles. 1lb 'wrong' and hard to make a strong case for him.

Forecasts

All Good Things (2/1), Outrath (3/1), Out On The Tear (5/1), St John's (8/1), Pete's Choice (10/1), Agentleman (18/1), Fillydelphia (22/1), Baratineur (25/1), Willett (28/1), No Alarm (33/1)

Verdict

Outrath arrives in good form compared to most. He would be one of the more obvious winners here, but he does also have a vulnerable look again. Baratineur would be a big player if able to bounce back after his latest effort. Out On The Tear looks worth a market check on his handicap debut, while All Good Things and St John's can't be written off. However, the suggestion is to take a chance on PETE'S CHOICE, who may be better for his recent return run after wind surgery, and if so, he is on a dangerous mark.
  1. Pete's Choice
  2. Outrath
  3. All Good Things
