7/2
A C&D winner who was pulled up here (2m3½f) on his return to action after a lengthy lay-off last month. Did improve on his latest start at this course (2m3½f) when he finished sixth of 12. Has been eased 4lb. One for the shortlist off this mark.

Roxyfet19
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-5| J: Joe Colliver| T: Micky Hammond| OR:  91| CD
7/1
Prevailed at Hexham (1m7½f) back in May but has been unable to add to his tally in three attempts since. He was ninth of 12 at this course (2m3½f) earlier this month. Dropping down in trip and back to his last winning mark now. One to think about.

Lovely Schtuff118
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-4| J: Henry Brooke| T: Mrs J Stephen| OR:  90
8/1
A point-to-point winner who is still a maiden under Rules. He was second of five at Kelso (2m1f) back in May. Has been well beaten on his last two starts, including on his latest run at Perth (2m). Needs to improve on recent form.

11/2
Yet to score in six appearances to date. Made his chase debut at Market Rasen (2m3f) last month where he was fifth of nine. Has been eased 5lb in the weights. Dropping down in trip. Others make more of an appeal.

Alys Rock390
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-1| J: Tabitha Worsley(5)| T: Laura Morgan| OR:  87| CD
16/1
Two of her three wins have come at this track, including a success over this C&D. Has not been on the track since finishing sixth of 12 here over 2m1f back in November 2018. Best to watch on her return to action.

Frankie Ballouh19
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-1| J: Sean Quinlan| T: Miss J E Foster| OR:  87| CD
20/1
All three of his wins have come over this C&D. Stepped up in distance earlier this month at this course (2m3½f) where he was pulled up three fences from home. Has to be respected from this mark but his form is a big concern.

Jolie Cricketteb,t19
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-0| J: Lucy Alexander| T: N W Alexander| OR:  86| D
10/3
Prevailed three times over fences in France, while she is a winner over hurdles in the UK. She was second of 12 at this course (2m3½f) last time out. Has gone up 1lb from that near miss and is down in distance now. Leading contender.

Benarty Hill45
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-12| J: Alison Clarke(7)| T: Kenny Johnson| OR:  84
8/1
His sole success over fences came at Down Royal (2m4f) in January 2018. Yet to hit the frame in his four appearance this year, although he was fourth of eight at Hexham (1m7½f) last time. Not one to ignore from this mark.

12/1
Has won over hurdles and fences this year at Plumpton. He came close to further success on his latest outing at Mussleburgh in a 2m chase as he was second of nine, beaten by ¾L. Gone up just 2lb. One to consider.

Duhallowcountryb20
Age: 13|  Weight: 10-0| J: Aaron Anderson(7)| T: V Thompson| OR:  69| CD
25/1
Veteran who is a three-time C&D winner. He prevailed at Newcastle (2m½f) back in April but his form since has been disappointing, including when he was sixth of nine at Musselburgh (2m) last time. Others are preferred.

Forecasts

Jolie Crickette (10/3), Maxed Out King (7/2), Getaway North (11/2), Roxyfet (7/1), Benarty Hill (8/1), Two Hoots (8/1), Lovely Schtuff (8/1), Istimraar (12/1), Alys Rock (16/1), Frankie Ballou (20/1), Duhallowcountry (25/1)

Verdict

JOLIE CRICKETTE produced her best effort yet on her latest start over fences in the UK when she was second at this course over a longer trip than this. She should be able to build on that here to add to her three chase victories in France. Istimraar came close to his second success of the year over fences last time at Musselburgh when he was a close second, expect to see him in the mix again, while Maxed Out King has prevailed over this C&D before and from this latest mark, must be fancied to finish in the frame.
  1. Jolie Crickette
  2. Istimraar
