Has been successful twice in his last three starts, including on his latest outing at Southwell (2m4½f) in a hunters chase where he prevailed in a five runner field by 30L. Back in handicap company now. One to consider.
Recorded his fourth victory over fences on his penultimate start at Warwick (2m4f). Was unable to follow it up last time at Market Rasen (2m5½f). Has been eased 2lb in the weights. Blinkers are on for the first time. Others appeal more.
Scored on his chase debut last time at Ascot (2m3f) in a 10 runner field where he justified going off as the 9/2 favourite. Stepping up in trip here where he will have 8lb more on his back. Remains a big player.
Has been in good form since switching to fences with two wins from his last three starts. He did struggle from his latest handicap mark though as he could only finish eighth of 12 at Stratford (2m3½f). Will need to find more.
His sole success came over hurdles at Fontwell (2m1½f) in December 2018. Went close to his first success over fences when he was second of 10 at Ascot (2m3f). Has gone up just 3lb for that near miss. One for the shortlist.
Showed some promising signs over fences on his opening two starts as he was second on both of those runs. Did not jump very well last time at Cheltenham (2m4f) where he eventually pulled up. Needs to bounce back.
Has a good strike-rate over fences with five wins from nine starts. Scored at Stratford (2m6½f) on his penultimate run, however, he was pulled up last time at Aintree (3m1f). Back down in trip. Not one to ignore.
Scored by 22L on his last appearance over fences at Warwick (2m) where he justified going off as the 6/4 favourite. Has gone up 11L for that victory on his return to fences so he will need to produce a career best here from this latest mark.
Finished second of four at Uttoxeter (2m) on his chase debut back in May. Did prevail twice over hurdles, while he was also a winner on the Flat. Open to improvement here so he has each-way claims on his latest start over fences.
Scored over fences at Exeter (2m3f) back in March. Unseated his rider at Wincanton (2m4f) early into the contest on his seasonal reappearance. One to think about as he could be capable off this mark.

DOCTOR DEX made a winning start to his chase career at Ascot and he can build upon that here to defy his 8lb rise in the weights as there could be a lot more to come from him over the bigger obstacles. Ballotin was an easy winner of a hunters chase at Southwell last time out and must be considered on his return to handicapping here given the form he is in, while On The Slopes ran well at Ascot last time and should once again finish in the frame here from this 3lb higher mark.
