Flight To Milan14
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: Mitchell Bastyan(5)| T: Evan Williams| OR:  105
8/1
15-race maiden; has fallen twice in seven starts over fences, including at the first at Ffos Las (2m, soft) a fortnight ago; easing in the weights, but others are more attractively handicapped.
2

Lickpenny Larryt20
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-1| J: R T Dunne| T: T R Gretton| OR:  94
11/4
Has done all of his winning at or around 2m (on soft ground); dug in deep when battling in vain behind Shintori on seasonal reappearance at Plumpton (2m4f, heavy) three weeks ago; sits on the same mark; chance.

Fact Flow31
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-1| J: Ben Jones(5)| T: D Burchell| OR:  94| CD
15/2
Reserves his best for this track; stayed on well from the final fence when beating Kavanaghs Corner by 1½L in this contest 12 months ago (gd/sft); chance from a handicapping perspective, albeit was tailed-off on seasonal reappearance (over hurdles).

Pembroke Housep227
Age: 12|  Weight: 11-0| J: Charlie Hammond(3)| T: S-J Davies| OR:  93
20/1
Veteran; infrequent winner (2-35); is easing in the weights and competes from 1lb below his last winning mark; has some fair historic Uttoxeter form on his CV - 8L second to Beau Bay (2m, heavy) in February 2018; others preferred.
5
Horse silk
Gatacre Street9
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-11| J: Jonathan England| T: S England| OR:  90
9/4
Left his low-key hurdles form behind when a somewhat fortuitous winner on chasing debut at Newcastle (2m7½f, heavy) last week; 7lb higher and dropping back in trip, but the chances are there's further improvement to come; sets the standard.
6
Horse silk
Scartarep23
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-6| J: Benjamin Poste| T: Mrs R Gasson| OR:  85
4/1
26-race maiden; has been largely consistent since switching to fences (placed on six of his nine starts); 2lb lower than when finishing a modest 7¾L third to Heavenly Promise over C&D (soft) 23 days ago.
7
Horse silk
Vetoncallp134
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-4| J: P J Brennan| T: A E Jones| OR:  83| BF
11/1
Point winner (3m, soft/heavy); has shown precious little form under rules, although was well-backed (6's-3's) on handicap debut at Plumpton (3m1½f, soft) last month - labouring from halfway and pulled up; cheekpieces are now added.

Forecasts

Gatacre Street (9/4), Lickpenny Larry (11/4), Scartare (4/1), Fact Flow (15/2), Flight To Milan (8/1), Vetoncall (11/1), Pembroke House (20/1)

Verdict

GATACRE STREET was undoubtedly a fortuitous winner (Road Warrior in command when unseating his rider two out) on chasing debut at Newcastle last week. Admittedly that wasn't the strongest of affairs either and he drops back half a mile today (off a 7lb higher mark). However, the fact that he was well-backed on that occasion (18-1 to 11-1) suggests that he's likely to make a much better chaser than a hurdler, and he's strongly fancied to double-up in a race which probably won't take much winning. Of the remainder, Lickpenny Larry is feared most for the in-form Tom Gretton and Robbie Dunne.
  1. Gatacre Street
  2. Lickpenny Larry
  3. Flight To Milan
