Going under by just a head to Vinnie Dev (caught close home) he demonstrated that this kind of trip was within range (all three previous runs over 2m) and also that he should prove capable of winning over hurdles sooner or later. Possible dangers include the Hexham selling winner Midnight Moss and the handicap debutant Footloose for the in-form Jamie Snowden.
