Well beaten in three starts on fibresand at Southwell since returning from a break. Probably best watched despite racing off a career low mark.

13 race maiden has finished fourth on her two most recent starts including when beaten 4¼L over 7f here earlier this week. One to note dropping back in distance.

Dual winner finished a well beaten seventh in a 6f handicap at Newcastle at the start of last month. Interesting to see how he fares on his return from a break.

Completed a double when winning by a nose over this C&D in March on his penultimate outing. Decent effort when seventh here the following month and is worth a check in the market on his return from a break.

Ran well to finish 1L fifth in a C&D handicap at the end of September but finished a well held seventh over the same trip at Kempton on his only subsequent start. Blinkers tried for the first time on this occasion.

Dual winner including in a 6f handicap at Chelmsford in August. Disappointing in five subsequent starts however including over 7f at this mark here earlier this week.

Six race maiden has failed to figure in two starts in handicaps including when 9L tenth over 7f at Kempton earlier this month. Returning from well over 12 months off the track that day and is likely to have improved for that outing.

Finished a decent 3½L fifth in a 6f handicap at Kempton last time out and had finished a good third in a handicap over this C&D prior to that. One to note off a mark 4lb lower than for his most recent victory.

Struggled in two 5f starts at Newcastle since finishing a neck second in a handicap over this C&D at the end of September. Return to this distance a positive and market support would be notable in this contest.

Well beaten in five starts since joining this stable and hopes seem to lie with the drop in distance bringing about a revival.

Returned from wind surgery with a victory in a 6f Class 7 event at Chelmsford in December last year. Decent efforts in defeat in two subsequent starts and is an interesting runner on first start since January.

Recorded her fourth career success when taking a classified contest by ¾L over this C&D a month ago. Raised 4lb for that victory and is an interesting contender once more.

Verdict

DISTANT APPLAUSE showed good form last winter and he can make a winning return to action with victory in this opening sprint handicap. The selection is less exposed than most of his rivals and he can get the better of One One Seven who should appreciate this step back up in distance. Third place can go to Santafiora who was a winner over this C&D on her most recent start.
