Six-race maiden. Has been a little disappointing in a couple of starts since seasonal debut in September. Needs to take a big step forward to get competitive at this level.
Eight-race maiden has hit the frame in on three occasions when running well in defeat. Gives the impression we may not have seen the best of her yet as she makes her handicap debut.
Off the mark over hurdles at the 11th time of asking for connections when winning a Fairyhouse handicap hurdle over 2m4f in the spring. Mixed messages in four starts since from her revised mark and may struggle again.
Winner of three of her 23 career starts over hurdles but has been out of form in a number of starts since the turn of the year. Now races 7lb lower than last winning mark and looks up against it here.
Off the mark for connections at odds of 12/1 when landing a Clonmel maiden hurdle on her fourth career start in February. Lackluster effort on return to action at Gowran Park last month.
Had shown nothing until landing a big gamble at Thurles before backing that effort up in a Clonmel 2m3½f handicap at the end of last month. Capable of going well again but races 14lb higher than initial victory.
Solid and consistent type, running well in defeat in a number of starts in a summer jumping campaign. Yet to hit the frame in five starts on similar ground conditions and may find a couple of better handicapped sorts lurking.
Won for the second time over hurdles when landing a handicap on good to yielding ground off a 12lb lower mark over C&D last month. Likely to improve once again but has her revised mark to contend with.
Veteran. Winner of two of her 32 starts over hurdles. Still running well in a number of starts over the summer including four starts in a busy August. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals.
Improved on September introduction at Galway to finish a promising sixth of 16 at Roscommon in September. Disappointed once again over 2m½f at Wexford last month but is worth a market check on handicap bow.
Posted a career best effort when finishing second of 16 beaten a neck behind Georgieshore over 2m2½f on soft ground last month. Drop in trip not guaranteed to suit.
Followed up a series of inept maiden hurdle efforts with a 20L defeat on handicap debut in a Wexford 2m contest when last seen in April. Clearly has training issues and best watched on return.
Plenty to like about the daughter of Dandy Man latest start in a Fairyhouse 2m handicap hurdle on heavy ground earlier this month when finishing fifth of 16 beaten 3¾L. Needs to back that run up here.
Eight-race maiden over hurdles. Not seen since finishing fifth of 16 never a factor in a Ballinrobe 3m1f handicap in May last year on final start for trainer J J Walsh. Hard to fancy.
Seen suffering a number of heavy defeats over hurdles in the summer before finishing last in a Ballinrobe handicap hurdle in August and a Naas 1m2f contest on the Flat last month. Others preferred.
Forecasts
Robin Gold (4/1), Midland Millie (9/2), Moll Dote (5/1), Wild Desire (7/1), Iknowwhereiamnow (8/1), Shantelle (12/1), Cailean's Angel (12/1), Gambling Mistress (12/1), Rebel Early (16/1), Bianca Minola (16/1), Elegant Lass (20/1), Birdie Blitz (25/1), Peace N' Milan (25/1), Amber And Black (50/1), Silvretta Schwarz (66/1)
The Paul Nolan-trained WILD DESIRE won for the second time over hurdles when landing a handicap on good to yielding ground off a 12lb lower mark over C&D last month. The daughter of Beneficial has adept claimer, Sean O'Keefe in the plate to part off-set the rise in the weights. Robin Gold, who arrives here on the back of a double over timber at Thurles and Clonmel last month can emerge as the biggest danger with Midland Millie and Gambling Mistress left to compete for remaining prize money.
- Wild Desire
- Robin Gold
- Midland Millie
