Had a busy season between April and September of this year. Recorded back to back wins at Hamilton and Carlisle over this trip. Now 6lb higher than her last winning mark. Stable in form.
A five time winner over this course and distance. Nearly made that six when going down by 1/2 length., that was a back to form effort Dwelt in the stalls on that occasion and has done that previously. Still hard to discount.
A winner at 6f at Doncaster in April on seasonal debut. Now just 1lb higher than that winning mark. Retains the hood which seems to have ironed out the problems at the start. Ran very well at Nottingham last time out. Each-way shout here.
First run for new yard. Hopefully that will see this seven-year-old gelding return to form. Dropped 18lb since March and showed little enthusiasm when dropped in grade on his last run. A watching brief for now.
Now 0-9 on the AW. Joined new yard in September and had the benefit of a wind operation. Still seems unable to quicken when asked. On the lowest mark of his career so far.
A consistent type who missed the break on his last start at this track; that was over 1m. First start at 6f raises concerns but the yard is in form and his dam was a winner at 6f. Interesting placing.
Hasn't shown an awful lot this year. Now on a career low mark of 65. Back to 6f after three satisfactory runs at 5f here. On pedigree he seems to require further, still one to keep an eye on.
In the twilight of his career but still in decent form judging by his success at Redcar at the end of September. Is a course and distance winner here, also. Now 9lb higher than his last winning mark but could fair well in this weak event.
Hasn't shown much at all this season and whilst his mark is tumbling, it's hard to get enthusiastic about his chances. Hopefully a switch to the AW can spark a revival, player if that happens, but that's a big if.
This filly loves the Tapeta surface and will have hopefully come on for her run in fourth over course and distance two weeks ago. Just 1lb higher than her last winning mark, she can definitely make her presence felt here.
Can be quirky but a consistent AW performer. A four time winner at 6f. Off since February so may need this run. 1lb lower than his last winning mark but others preferred here.
Seemed to not take to cheekpieces on his last run at Nottingham in May, finished last on that occasion. Nearly two years since his last win, that was on Tapeta. Once an inmate of Ballydoyle. Too soon to totally write off.
Very lightly raced for a seven-year-old. Returned at Catterick in October after 28-months off the track. Last won five years ago. First run on AW but very hard to make a case for.
Two runs here at 1m, drops back to 6f today. Chances on Wolverhampton second place in September. Yet to win but has only had four runs so far. Connections may have found an ideal race here.
Forecasts
Mount Wellington (9/4), Almurr (7/1), Oriental Lilly (7/1), Wasntexpectingthat (10/1), Kenny The Captain (10/1), Socru (11/1), Lightning Charlie (14/1), Zoravan (16/1), Klopp (20/1), Bedtime Bella (20/1), Black Isle Boy (20/1), Siena Mia (28/1), Star Citizen (50/1), Kommander Kirkup (125/1)
A weak enough race but there are a few that stand out. SIENA MIA looks likely to record her first career win, no problems with the surface and the drop back to 6f looks like it will suit this four-year-old daughter of Bated Breath. Five time course and distance winner Oriental Lily looks sure to place with the jockeys claim coming in very useful. The hooded Socru is taken to fill third spot.
- Siena Mia
- Oriental Lilly
- Socru
