This looks a weak enough bumper on paper and so it is very likely to fall to the Willie Mullins-trained newcomer ASTERION FORLONGE. Connections have seen Al Boum Photo land the Gold Cup since £290,000 was paid for this point-to-point winner in the spring of 2018, but that absence shouldn't prove a hindrance given his trainer's record. Watergate Lady was second in a mares bumper on debut in February and, while the form isn't strong, she could make the frame again.
