1m Kempton winner in final two-year-old start was off 339 days afterwards before staying on fifth over same C&D latest. Step up in trip and sharpness gained can see him improve plenty and every chance he's seriously well handicapped now.

On a 17-race losing run since Windsor win in June 2018. Up and down campaign has sometimes suggested him well handicapped but comes with a high degree of risk on the balance of form.

7f Newmarket winner in the summer followed that up by finishing second over 1m2½f at Chester before flopping back at Newmarket latest (first time on good to soft). Unexposed and could well bounce back on AW for first time since debut.

1m3f Kempton maiden winner was collared on the line over the same C&D latest in a handicap. Upped 1lb but can improve further for step back to 1m2f today so looks a leading contender here.

1m Newcastle winner two starts back and looked well worth another go over this trip there latest when keeping on into a never nearer seventh again at 1m. Each-way potential today.

Lightly raced three-year-old who won on the AW at two before struggling in the Listed Pretty Polly in May. Long layoff and heavy ground likely contributory factors to Newbury flop last month and expectant of huge improvement today.

Three-time AW winner but only made the track three times this year and showed next to nothing in any of those races including one on AW. Hard to fancy at present.

Very unporolific these days with latest losing run now at 17. Second at Kempton over 1m4f latest but beaten 8L by runaway winner and looks up against it here with unexposed three-year-olds in the field.

15-time winning veteran a thoroughly likable sort who ended the turf season with decent efforts at Salisbury and Yarmouth. Will again give his all but doubt he's well handicapped to deal with some of these younger rivals.

Well handicapped on old form but that been the case for a while and the filly has done little to suggest she'll take advantage. Third of six at Nottingham last time but this looks much deeper.

C&D second latest probably the pick of this filly's form but that did come in class 5 company and today's race looks well above average for class 4. Best days may lie ahead however so not a forlorn hope.

Forecasts

Eden Gardens (7/2), Amjaady (4/1), Maximum Effect (9/2), Mordred (8/1), Big Daddy Kane (8/1), Gallatin (10/1), Torochica (12/1), Andaleep (12/1), Lady Adelaide (14/1), First Response (16/1), Wimpole Hall (20/1), Rotherwick (20/1), Keswick (25/1), Double Reflection (25/1), Lunar Deity (50/1)

Verdict

There are two three-year-olds in this field with the potential to prove far better than their current handicap marks and they look the two to concentrate on. Preference is for EDEN GARDENS who made a pleasing return from 11 months off over 1m latest suggesting that he would improve plenty next time and when upped in trip. One must forgive Lady Adelaide's flop last time on heavy ground to fancy her but the fact that her shrewd trainer ran her in an Oaks trial in the spring makes her very interesting off a mark of 80. Amjaady and Maximum Effect are both running well at present and set the standard for the less exposed duo aforementioned.
  1. Eden Gardens
  2. Lady Adelaide
  3. Amjaady
