Connections look to have found CHAMPAGNE COURT a decent opportunity to follow up his impressive debut win at Sandown by 6L where it was hard to be critical of his performance. A 7lb penalty will make this more of a test but he really ought to take this before moving on to loftier targets. Mercy Mercy Me has been highly tried for the most part in his career having run in Graded company in bumpers and over hurdles but he has spurned some easier opportunities and been a beaten favourite three times (twice at odds-on). Perhaps chasing will see him finally blossom while Diable De Sivola is still searching for his first win having been successful on his debut.
