Bred to want a fence, and has been handicapped for this on the strength of three hurdles starts, so interesting on that alone; in truth, no more than a modicum of promise so far, but every chance he takes a big step forward now going fencing.
Third on chasing debut at Taunton last month but was never really in the hunt and was well beaten at the finish; may improve on that as he is unexposed, and can't be dismissed easily in a weak event.
No win machine but pops up when she gets her favoured conditions, as happened at Plumpton (hurdles) last February; disappointed in two starts after that and still 3lb higher here, usually needs a run to put her straight, and yet to win over fences.
Just the one win in 22 starts under Rules, and is clearly no surperstar; placed on her last two runs of last year but that may be as good as she is, and the switch to fences needs to have a galvanising effect.
Well backed at Wincanton last time out, that being only his fourth chase start, and duly ran a better race to finish third; ideally may want a little further than this but a repeat of that run gives him every chance here.
No wins or places in ten starts so far, now joins new yard and goes chasing; has been handicapped on three moderate runs over hurdles but not seen out for well over a year, when his point-to-point form was moderate. Tough task.
Winner on chase debut at Plumpton in September, making all, but most disappointing when trying to follow up, soft ground a possible excuse; presumably coming here for the better ground and could bounce back, especially if allowed a easy lead.
Came back off a long absence to run a creditable fourth at Hereford over hurdles last month, tiring late; will be fitter for that and has little mileage on the clock, so could improve if taking to fences.
Did win a point-to-point last year and for an 11yo there's not that many miles on the clock, but needs plenty of improvement on his Bangor fifth last month, finished well beaten. May strip fitter but hard to fancy all the same.
Forecasts
Seeanythingyoulike (2/1), Corrie Loch (5/1), Darling Alko (6/1), Mouseinthehouse (13/2), Cock A Doodle Doo (13/2), Noble Saffron (8/1), Best Director (12/1), Hope's Wishes (16/1), Hume Lough (40/1)
Noble Saffron will be hoping the rain stays away as he looked quite good when winning at Plumpton, but found the underfoot conditions all against him last time. Seeanythingyoulike will be popular after a solid effort at Wincanton last time but DARLING ALKO has always looked the sort to improve once seeing a fence, and if jumping fluently, might be too good for these.
