Gelding by Iffraaj. Rated 72 on the Flat without a win in career five starts including three defeats on turf. Went close on hurdling debut last month at Punchestown and likely to be in the mix.
Beaten over 40L on each of his two starts over hurdles in the last couple of months. Needs to step up to play a part here.

20/1
Modest 64-rated handicapper on the Flat, well held on each of his three starts over the summer. Not fluent at a number of hurdles on debut at Punchestown over 2m last month. Vast improvement needed to figure.

Gelding by Sea The Moon. Below-par 65-rated handicapper on the Flat for trainer John Oxx. Capable of a big run if settled into his new surroundings.
Well held in a couple of starts on the Flat with Ger Lyons. Ran well in defeat on hurdling debut, despite being hampered by a loose horse. Can be expected to improve.

Not much to shout about in three desperate efforts 12 months ago on the Flat for trainer Sarah Lynam. Not disgraced on hurdling debut and will look to progress here on second start for leading yard.

Not devoid of talent on the Flat but rarely threatened to pick up place prize money yet alone win. Hard to make a case for based on a couple of desperate efforts over hurdles last month.

Looked to be regressing on the Flat for previous connections up until June. Best watched on hurdling debut on first start for new connections.

Off the mark at the eighth attempt on the Flat when landing a Tipperary maiden on good/yielding over 1m4½f in August. Best watched on hurdling debut unless market vibes suggest otherwise.

Moderate sixth of 16 beaten over 19L over 1m4f at Leopardstown last month before being brought down at the first in a Galway maiden hurdle on his second start over timber. Could be capable of a big run.

Regressive on the Flat, the daughter of Vocalised failed to hit the frame in six career starts. Appears to have a mountain to climb on hurdling debut.

16/1
Improving 70-rated handicapper on the Flat, ran a career best on heavy ground at Gowran Park over 1m before not disgraced on hurdling debut at Galway over 2m½f on soft ground late last month. Not one to be putting a line through.
Two-race maiden but likely to improve on a disappointing hurdling debut over a similar trip in a Punchestown 3-Y-O contest last month.

First Reserve: Beaten more than 50L on hurdles bow at Punchestown before finding himself tailed off at Galway last month. Could be vulnerable if making the line-up.

Verdict

The Joseph O'Brien-trained CERBERUS can build on a pleasing debut over hurdles last month when running A Wave Of The Sea to a neck at Punchestown on soft to heavy ground over a similar trip. Kid Curry on just his second start for trainer Willie Mullins could take advantage of any short comings from the son of Iffraaj, while the Jessica Harrington pair Instant Return, third of 18 behind Sacchoandvanetti at Galway last month and Donnernstrings, the mount of Robbie Power need special consideration. Winner on the Flat over 1m4f, Red Gerry for trainer Noel Meade looks an interesting hurdling recruit.
