Showed some promise in three bumper starts earlier in the year finishing third when last seen at Newcastle on quicker ground than he will face here. Stable in good form at the moment so while others probably have a better chance he can't be ignored.
Showed a little more two months on from his debut in the spring but would need to progress a fair bit since then to take a hand in this. The fact that the yard are 1-24 in bumpers (last five seasons) tell the story.
Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler Discours d'Un Roi he's already shown plenty of ability despite being easy to back on his Ffos Las bumper debut. The winner and fourth from that race have both since won over hurdles; useful prospect.
Yard only have an 8% strike rate with bumper newcomers in the last five years. €8,500 3yo; half-brother to bumper winner/fairly useful hurdler Stonebrook; fair hurdler Sizing Malbay; dam, ungenuine bumper winner; market the best guide.

Irish point-to-point winner in April 2018, bought for €110,000 soon after. Not seen since for a yard that had a torrid time last year (shutdown at one point); 1-25 last five years with bumper newcomers; may well appeal as a long-term project.

Has a pedigree that screams stamina at you so not surprising he struggled to cope with a 2m bumper even at testing track like Hexham. Never really involved there (had a wind op since); one for the longer-term and stamina tests over hurdles/fences.

Newcomer who has already had a wind op prior to her debut. Closely related to fair hurdler/fairly useful chaser Lord Brendy who failed to land a gamble for the yard recently at Sedgefield. Half-sister to two staying hurdle winners; time needed.

40/1
Yard not known for their bumper success; 0-25 in the last five years with newcomers. Dam; lightly raced in bumpers, sister to useful bumper winner Turbo Linn. A watching brief may be the best policy on debut given the yard profile in this sphere.

Forecasts

Exelerator Express (5/4), Le Cheval Noir (7/2), Arnica (7/2), Hart Of Steel (13/2), Six One Nine (20/1), Big Cheviot (25/1), Teelar (28/1), Tooyou (40/1)

Verdict

Not a particularly strong bumper to end the card with the Neil Mulholland’s first bumper runner at the track EXELERATOR EXPRESS looking to have an excellent chance of opening his account having shaped well in a Ffos Las bumper in the spring. That form has been well advertised now and he won’t find many easier opportunities than this. Arnica has had plenty of experience and with the majority of his stablemates running well at the moment he looks the main danger if he can handle this deeper going off a break. Le Cheval Noir wasn’t a cheap purchase and he has been off a while but he’s in good hands; he could make an impression if he’s ready to go along with his fellow newcomer Hart Of Steel.
  1. Exelerator Express
  2. Arnica
  3. Le Cheval Noir
