Grade 2 hurdle winner who was second to Wholestone in this race last year. Acts on soft. Not seen since down the field in Punchestown Champion Stayers' Hurdle in May. Goes well when fresh and entitled to consideration.

Progressive over hurdles last season, winning the Grade 1 Mares' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival (2m4f, soft) and only just being touched off here (3m, good) in April. Has won when fresh and has a big chance at these weights.

No mug, having won three hurdles and a chase, but arrives having been beaten at 100-1 on the Flat last time, and should find a few too good here.

High class over both hurdles and fences and not ground dependent. Has regularly won when fresh. Not quite as good in this discipline as over fences, but was still a Grade 1 third over hurdles 11-months ago and no surprise if he goes close.

Listed-placed last month in a 2m hurdle (good) at Kempton, and has since won a Class 4 at Wincanton. However, needs a lot of improvement to win this.

Forecasts

Roksana (11/10), Top Notch (2/1), Vision Des Flos (11/4), Aweeminit (33/1), Notwhatiam (100/1)

Verdict

This should really only concern three of the quintet and the race conditions favour ROKSANA, who can take advantage as she continues to progress. Vision Des Flos and Top Notch certainly can't be dismissed lightly and the latter is marginally preferred today, given that the former represents a team not firing quite as well as we have come to expect at present.
  1. Roksana
  2. Top Notch
  3. Vision Des Flos
