Gelding by Dandy Man out of a Gian's Causeway mare. Half-brother to three winners including Andok, winner up to 1m2f and two-year-old winner over 7f Lady Mandeville. Entitled to need this run on debut.

Kodiac gelding out of a Moss Vale mare. Cost €150,000 as a foal. Dam won over 6f as a two-year-old. Interesting debutante with market likely to reveal expectations.

Five-race maiden. Not the most reliable of sorts sending out a number of mixed messages since returning for his seasonal debut in May.

$50,000 yearling cost 55,000 guineas as a two-year-old. Well held and never a factor in a couple of career starts so far since his debut 12 months ago. Last seen in April, gelded since.

Born To Sea gelding out of a Ad Valorem mare. Held up in touch on sole start to date before weakening under pressure to finish down the field beaten 32L at Fairyhouse in September. More needed.

Poor maiden hurdler well beaten in five starts over timber. Closely related to six-time winner on the Flat Choral Clan all victories coming between 7f and 1m4f on an AW surface.

Daughter of Big Bad Bob out of a Galileo mare. Dam placed over 7f-1m2½f. Dismal effort on sole start in a Gowran Park maiden over 1m1f when last seen in April. Hard to place any faith in.

Improving in a couple of starts for current connections when last seen in September. Career best effort finishing third 17 beaten 5½L at the Curragh over 6f and can make her presence felt in this company.

Daughter of So You Think out of a Johar mare. Dam last of 11 on her sole career start in a Clonmel bumper. Unlikely to be a good sign the filly wears a hood on debut.

Daughter of Dragon Pulse out of a Jurado mare. Dam without a winner from six progeny over fences and on the Flat. Possibly best watched on debut unless market vibes suggest otherwise.

Dark Angel filly whose grand-dam was European champion juvenile filly. Appears to be an improving sort based on her fine effort at Navan last month. Not one to underestimate with experience on her side.

11/10
Running well in defeat in three career starts since making her debut at Cork in September, a race that has produced three winners since including Romantic Proposal and Lovee Dovee. Has a rating of 75 and likely to go well.

Forecasts

Sheranda (11/10), Magic Fountain (5/2), Blametheshady (7/1), Abanica (7/1), Candy Man (16/1), Gabrielle Noir (25/1), Cold War (25/1), Misty At Sea (33/1), Eye Of The Dragon (40/1), Arnhem (50/1), Coill Na Sionainne (66/1), Just Lucy (66/1), Droichead Atha (100/1), Be Yourself (100/1)

Verdict

The Dermot Weld-trained, Aga Khan-owned, SHERANDA could take some stopping on AW debut with a number of solid efforts already in the bag. The daughter of Siyouni started off in a Cork maiden over a similar trip finishing a respectable fifth of 17 beaten 4L in a race that has produced three winners since including Romantic Proposal and Lovee Dovee. Magic Fountain for the Aidan O'Brien yard can emerge as the clear biggest danger following a number of efforts since September when running with credit in defeat. The Henry De Bromhead pair, Cold War and Abanica can compete for remaining prize money.
  1. Sheranda
  2. Magic Fountain
  3. Cold War
