Mixed bag last season but managed to win twice over fences; now rated 3lb below most recent win-mark if ready to fire on first start 209 days.
Popular veteran, last four wins have come over hurdles and nothing in this sphere since 2016. Beaten the thick end of 20L at Sligo in September and may again be vulnerable.
Just three wins in 22 chase starts, but is a consistent performer with further nine placed efforts in that sequence. Should give his running and wouldn't be a total shock if he won.
Won a heavy-ground Limerick beginners' chase in March 2018 but overall profile far from convincing and failed to complete in final three starts last season. Has gone well fresh in the past.
Maiden of eight starts over fences but improved with runner-up finish at Galway (2m2f, soft to heavy; 16-1) last month and possibilities of building on that from 2lb higher.
Has potential in this sphere, with best of efforts so far at Roscommon (2m½f, good; 7-2) in July when taking second spot. In good form on Polytrack at Dundalk lately and should have a say now.
Won a Tramore beginners chase (2m5½f, good; 6-1) in August on only outing over fences, remains in good form over timber since and opening handicap mark looks a fair one; shortlisted.
Off the mark for connections at the fifth attempt over the larger obstacles when landing a Clonmel handicap on good ground over 2m2½f last month. Raised 12lb and found only one too good over C&D since; he's got another 5lb to contend with today.
Has won here in the past but never a threat over C&D a fortnight ago returning from summer break. Remains some way above previous C&D win-mark.
No win since June 2016 and three starts back from a 521-absence haven't exactly been offering hope. Best watched currently.
In frame several times last season without threatening a win; he was beaten 48L last month at Fairyhouse and doesn't appeal for now.
Long-standing maiden over fences, he went close at Killarney (2m5f, good; 12-1) in July off a short break and was runner-up again at Tramore in August but has been much less impressive in three recent runs.
Forecasts
Everlastingpromise (5/4), Cusp Of Carabelli (5/1), One In All In (11/2), Seskin Flyer (13/2), Great Khan (10/1), Rebel Turn (10/1), The King Of Brega (14/1), Drumconnor Lad (20/1), Barna Venture (25/1), Chief Of Panama (40/1), Balbir Du Mathan (50/1), Shrewdoperator (66/1)
Everlastingpromise is in fine tune and almost defied a 12lb hike when bidding to win over C&D last time, Enda Bolger's charge should go well but has again been hit by the assessor. CUSP OF CARABELLI won a Tramore beginners chase in August on sole start over these obstacles and has held his form since over hurdles. A mark of 115 should be within his wheelhouse. One In All In and Great Khan, second last time at Galway, can also be considered.
- Cusp Of Carabelli
- Everlastingpromise
- One In All In
