(2)

Cockney Hill²⁶⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 9-9| J: Charles Bishop| T: J Tuite

7/1

Beat a mixed bunch to land a huge gamble at Kempton in February. Recorded a good time and the form has to be taken seriously. An absence since will be a concern so the market should be informative again.

Form: 81

(4)

The Gill Brothers^t⁴³

Age: 3| Weight: 9-9| J: S M Levey| T: S C Williams

8/11

Came from off the pace to cause an upset at Kempton six weeks ago and that form, at face value, looks more solid than that achieved by his rivals. Drop back to 7f should not be an issue and he looks the obvious one to beat.

Form: 0-1

(1)

Dor's Diamond^h¹⁹¹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Sophie Ralston⁽⁵⁾| T: D K Ivory

20/1

Has only shown modest form in two novice events back in the spring and significant improvement will need to have been made during the last six months.

Form: 56

(5)

Qaabil²¹⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Jim Crowley| T: W J Haggas| OR: 72

9/4

Modest form in France before going to America where he failed to reach the track. Has joined a top outfit whose horses are going well and worth a look in the market in what looks an uncompetitive heat.

Form: 597-76

(3)

Just A Touch

Age: 3| Weight: 8-11| J: David Egan| T: Jane Chapple-Hyam

25/1

Half-sister to four winners makes her debut in weak company. Receives plenty of weight but yard's horses generally improve over time.

Forecasts

The Gill Brothers (8/11), Qaabil (9/4), Cockney Hill (7/1), Dor's Diamond (20/1), Just A Touch (25/1)

This could be a difficult race to solve with Qaabil bringing modest form from France, whilst Cockney Hill and THE GILL BROTHERS still have questions to answer despite scoring last time. The former landed a gamble by a wide margin when last seen in February and there have been mixed signals since from those behind him. Nevertheless the time was reasonable and the market should tell us how ready he is for this. The selection quickened to score off a muddling pace at Kempton to beat a stronger field than this and he will take all the beating here if that form proves reliable.
