Overcame a slow start and early signs of greenness to make a winning debut over 6f at Windsor, and improved to land a novice here over the same trip later in September. More to come at this trip, and fairly treated now handicapping.
Well placed but didn't need to improve to win a valuable prize over 7f at Bro Park (Sweden), and then ran below form when 5 lengths sixth of 12 to Tomfre in nursery at Newmarket last time. Needs his best effort to figure now.
Excuses on penultimate start, and this front runner bounced back when short-head second of 11 to Blausee in a 7f nursery at Wolverhampton last time. Well berthed if getting away to usual fast start.
Improved to land a 7f Newbury novice in the summer, but has found progress stalled since switched to nurseries, finishing a disappointing ninth of 15 to Huboor at Newmarket last time. This is a little weaker, but she needs to bounce back.
Yet to improve on the form of her debut second over 6f here, but filled the same spot in a C&D novice last time when only just denied, and may yet do better now handicapping.
Placed on first two starts, and improved further when winning a 6f Brighton novice by 4½ lengths from Sunset Breeze. Fifth placed Bavardages won a nursery here next time, and handicapper looks to have let him in lightly on that evidence.
Not discredited in a sales race at the Curragh last time, and has shown ability prior to that, but his opening mark demands improvement, and others more convincing.
Best effort in qualifying when when ½L fourth of 8 to Restless Endeavour in a C&D novice last time. Needs to step up again to get involved on handicap bow, but that's not impossible.
Hasn't been disgraced since winning a maiden at Chelmsford in August, but seems fully exposed now, and her form falls short of the standard required to win this.
Forecasts
Picture Frame (7/2), Dance Fever (4/1), One Hart (5/1), Old News (5/1), Silver Samurai (11/2), Breath Of Joy (11/1), Commit No Nuisance (12/1), Banmi (33/1), Rajguru (33/1)
SILVER SAMURAI had nursery winner Bavardages well behind when an impressive winner at Brighton last time, and the handicapper has definitely taken a risk by putting him in off a mark of 79, and he's taken to reward that generosity. The unbeaten Dance Fever is the one to fear most, although One Hart would be dangerous if able to dictate things from the inside stall.
- Silver Samurai
- Dance Fever
