Has taken to this surface well boasting a record of a win and three place efforts from four starts here. Running well in defeat recently and drop in trip expected to suit.
Has a record of one win and a couple of placed efforts over C&D from eight starts. May have needed the run back on the surface last month and not one to be writing off just yet.
Useful sort, winner of Gowran Park 1m claimer on good to firm ground in May off a 4lb higher mark. Market likely to be the best guide to expectations on AW debut.
Winner over C&D three years ago off a 9lb higher mark. Still looks in the grip of the handicapper on the balance of recent starts over the summer.
Course winner that has also won over this trip. Won a Cork 7f good ground handicap off a 5lb lower mark when last seen in August and can be expected to run another big race back on this surface.
Boasts a record of one win and a couple of placed efforts from eight starts over C&D. Win over the combination came on his penultimate start here in April off a 3lb lower mark. Recent run last month could have him spot on for this.
One from seven starts on the AW in Britain for trainer James Tate, winning a 6f Wolverhampton handicap in February. Ran Scream to 2½L in a promising run over C&D last month and difficult to dismiss in this contest.
Winner of two of his 15 starts over C&D for the seasoned handicapper and hinted at a return to form when finishing second of 14 beaten 1L over the combination late last month.
Well held and never nearer in a number of starts over the summer running between 7f and 1m. Down the field in a couple of Curragh handicaps in the last month and looks up against it here.
Failed to improve for first-time visor on fourth start for current connections finishing down the field over 1m at the Curragh last month. Needs to improve significantly on Co Louth debut.
Ran as could be expected on his return to the track for the first time in four years when finishing 1¾L behind Fashaar over C&D last month. Can be expected to be doing all his best work in the closing stages.
Forecasts
Mutadaawel (5/4), Peshkova (7/1), Fit For Function (10/1), Silk Cravat (10/1), Distant Mirage (10/1), Honor Oak (10/1), Count Of Carabass (12/1), Toffee Galore (12/1), Lily's Prince (14/1), Muzbid (16/1), Beleaguerment (25/1)
The Invincible Spirit gelding MUTADAAWEL has taken to this surface well boasting a record of a win and three place efforts from four starts here and can add to that tally in this contest from top weight. The four-year-old can build on a couple of solid efforts at this venue last month and come off the pace set by Honor Oak. Recent Cork winner, Peshkova appears to be his biggest danger. C&D winner Silk Cravat would not surprise with an improved run back on this surface while Distant Mirage and Lily's Prince have recently posted efforts that a return to form may not be too far away.
- Mutadaawel
- Peshkova
