Recovered from an awkward start to make most on his racecourse bow at Chelmsford, but weakened late to finish 1L third of 8 to Always Fearless. Will improve, although longer trips on turf likely to prove his metier.
Out of a half-sister to Derby & Arc winner Sinndar. Shaped well amidst greenness when fifth of 8 to Tritonic in a 1m novice at Newbury in September. Better to come, although drop in trip not an obvious plus for one bred to stay well.
Out of a 7f winner, and both runs to date at this trip. Much improved from debut when ½L second of 9 to Raaeq in a novice at Newbury in September. Sets the standard, and may prove more effective at this trip than his main rivals.
Outstrip half-brother to two winners. Showed ability when seventh of 13 to Magnetised in a maiden at Doncaster (7f, heavy) ten days ago. Plenty more needed in a warm race.
Given a wind op prior to his debut at Newbury over 7f and hinted at ability, but well beaten there late last month, and makes little appeal in a race of this nature despite the fitting of cheekpieces.
By Galileo out of a 2-y-o 6f winner. Fitting of cheekpieces on debut raises some concerns, but should be effective at this trip, and unlikely to lack for fitness on racecourse bow given connections.
By Golden Horn out of a useful 7f winner. Badly in need of experience when last of 13 on debut at Newmarket 12 days ago, and while sure to improve, he's likely to need more time.
Forecasts
Establish (11/8), Code Of Conduct (9/4), Power Of Time (5/1), Canagat (13/2), St Just (20/1), Grey Eminence (66/1), On The Right Track (66/1)
Most of these, as suggested by the restricted nature of the race, will need further in time, but ESTABLISH looks well suited by 7f, and can make his relative speed count. Power of Time has pace in his pedigree, and is shortlisted on his debut, with Code of Conduct appealing most of the others.
