Winner at Navan over 1m5f for Jessica Harrington this year and joined hew yard only last week. Type to be suited by hurdles and will stay so may go well if settled into his new surroundings.
Claimed for £6000 after winning Windsor soft ground 1m2f contest last month for Richard Hannon. Had looked regressive on Flat prior to that success and makes hurdles debut here.
Signs of some ability in four runs for James Tate but has struggled in four starts since joining current yard and this Sea The Moon gelding has plenty to prove on his hurdles bow.
Placed six times in succession this season prior to finally getting his head in front last time in Goodwood 1m3f seller for Andrew Balding. Sold for £24,000 and is interesting on hurdles bow for new connections coming here in decent form.
Won French 1m2f contest on debut in January. Unseated rider on first start for current yard in 7f Ascot handicap but better luck when third on hurdles bow at Kempton recently and should have learned plenty. Should be in the mix.
Landed second Flat success when scoring over a mile at Doncaster off mark of 74 in June and not disgraced off revised rating in three starts since then. yard capable of having one ready to hurdle and could go well if he stays.
Modest 10-race Flat maiden finished second off mark of just 48 In Chelmsford 1m2f classified stakes. Sure to be fit but surprise if he doesn't find a few better Flat horses too classy for him on this occasion.
Placed in 1-8 on the Flat at a very moderate level and beaten plenty far enough on both starts sof ar over hurdles. Much more needed and races now in first-time tongue-tie.
Second off lowly mark in Thirsk mile selling handicap this summer for Ollie Pears but showed little aptitude for this game when well beaten on first try over timber at Sedgefield. Hard to see her getting too involved.
Forecasts
Building Bridges (7/4), Rafiot (11/4), Silkstone (4/1), Queen's Soldier (7/1), Dawn Treader (11/1), Waterproof (18/1), Moonlit Sea (33/1), Smashing Lass (100/1), Willett (100/1)
Not an easy race to assess with most being unknown quantities at this game, but BUILDING BRIDGES is interesting on hurdles bow. He stays well and would be close to the best of these on the level so can make his presence felt. Connections went to £24,000 to buy Queen's Soldier after winning a Goodwood 1m3f seller recenlty and he is respected, along with Rafiot, whose fair third on hurdles debut at Kempton gives him every chance in this company. If he stays, winning miler Silkstone could be a danger on his first try over timber.
- Building Bridges
- Rafiot
- Silkstone
