Stable 6-86 in bumpers (last five seasons); look unlikely to improve those numbers here with this Ask gelding on his second bumpers start. Hinted at ability on his debut last January but returning from a break sure to need this outing.
Not a stable that is known for its bumper runners (0-9 in the last five seasons) this newcomer will do well to get involved. Pedigree hardly leaps off the page at you and can only be watched for now.
Half-brother to a fair sort in Lieutenant Miller he made some appeal on pedigree prior to his debut and was well supported in the market. Failed to live up to expectations on that Market Rasen start, needs to show more to get involved here.
Produced a promising first effort in a valuable Fairyhouse sales bumper for his former yard when second to the market leader (third won next time out). Sold for £100,000 soon after, now makes his GB/stable debut; sets a fair standard on his sole run.
The most experienced in this field with three starts but none of them are of a high standard, if anything his form is regressing. Last of eight at Stratford last time beaten 150L; hard to imagine him being involved.
First runner under Rules for his trainer; and a newcomer himself. £22,000 3yo; half-brother to bumper winner in France by Anabaa Blue: dam, bumper winner, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler (2¼m winner) Passe Partout Aulmes.
Only the second ever bumper winner for this yard who has made two unsuccessful forays into the point-to-point sphere (best effort fourth beaten 17L). Would be a surprise winner on his Rules debut.
Trainer has had just one bumper newcomer win from 13 attempts since 2014. First foal of a chase winner at up to 3m4f it would appear on pedigree that he'll need some time and most likely a test of stamina to be seen at his best.
Newcomer from a yard who have hit a purple patch of late (6-46 with debutants since 2014). £3,600 as a 3yo; half-brother to 7f winner (stayed 1m1f) Terhaal; dam 7f winner. Has realistic claims with the way the yard's horses are performing currently.
Yard far from prolific in bumpers (1-43, past five seasons); has an interesting pedigree (related to winners), showed plenty to work on from his debut outing at Wetherby in March. Ran green but a good chance he'll progress here, realistic chance.
This yard are rather quiet at the moment (horses look to need the run) so this newcomer by Witness Box may be worth a watching brief only. Overall the yard operate at a lowly strike-rate in bumpers; 2-38 with newcomers since 2014.
Closely related to a couple of relatively smart jumpers and showed ability on his debut despite being easy to back. Yard have a near 20% strike-rate with their second-time out runners in bumpers since 2014; watch for positive market vibes.
Yard only 1-23 in bumpers past five seasons but this one may prove better than their usual quality in this sphere. Produced a promising first effort at Kelso in May, beaten 1L but pulling clear of the remainder; has to be on the shortlist.
Couple of poor efforts in Irish point-to-points with a fifth last time out in April being the best of them. Now makes her Rules debut for a very capable yard but hard to see her being good enough to get involved with improvement needed.

This may not be that competitive despite the big field with nine Rules newcomers and very little form to go on even from the point-to-point sphere. None of the newcomers makes any particular appeal although Brian Ellison’s Sea Me Win should be respected with the yard in good form of late. Don McCain’s Irish import Chuvelo may well set the standard having finished a good second in a valuable sales bumper with that form franked by the win of the third subsequently but Harriet Graham’s WEE GOLDIE is preferred. He also finished second on his debut pulling well clear with the winner and a repeat of that would see him go close. Ulverston is another who appeals as the sort to progress.
