Twice a winner on the AW once here over 7f but comes into this contest on the back of two poor runs although the 6f trip would have been too sharp last time. Still above his last winning mark; return to 1m will help but others are easier to warm to.

Hard to have much confidence with the losing run having now reached 20. There have been some flashes of form that would give him a chance but he once again flattered to deceive last time; others hold more solid chances.

Sprang a 50-1 surprise to win at Bath on his stable debut at Bath (1m) back in June and for the most part he's been consistent without winning since then. Yet to win on AW, comes here on the back of an unpromising hurdles outing; still shortlisted.

Yet to win a race; only lightly-raced and may still have a little more scope than some of these especially nudged down in grade. Only caught late by a thriving rival over C&D last time; firmly in this contest despite the 3lb rise in the weights.

Dual 1m winner earlier in the year including over C&D; run with credit in most starts since but of late has developed an air of going through the motions preferring to be placed than win. First-time cheekpieces now used in an effort to eke out more.

Fair maiden but one who ran poorly last time despite looking fairly treated on his return to handicaps having been given an impossible task the time before. Does have to prove himself on the Polytrack though; others have stronger credentials.

Form figures over C&D reads 112; looks a different proposition since being switched to this course despite being denied a hat-trick last time. Unlucky last time she returns off a 2lb higher mark, clearly thriving, firmly on the shortlist.

Only lightly-raced (unraced as a 2yo); made little impression on her handicap debut off what looked to be a stiff looking mark over C&D. Slow away, never really a threat; may well need to be eased further than today's 3lb to be effective.

Benefitted from a break to end a long losing run in a low-grade Lingfield 1m2f handicap off a 6lb lower mark (well treated on old form). Remains on a good mark (strong in the betting last time); still worth a second glance.

Not had much racing and only returned to run as a 3yo after nearly a year off recently taking a step forward on his second handicap start over 1m at Kempton. Can race freely so a good pace would be ideal; now off a career-low mark, interesting sort.

Most of his form is no more than modest this year and despite this being a low-grade affair he doesn't make that much appeal dropping back 2f in trip. Well below his last winning mark but not really in the form to take advantage.

Blinkers now reached for to accompany the usual tongue-tie but it may well take more than that to break the long losing spell this one has established. Ran poorly last time over 1m at Kempton; not one who presents a solid case.

Verdict

Most of the field have been struggling for form of late with some long losing sequences on display and it may be best to concentrate on those with sound C&D form of late. Those would be headed by Parknacilla whose form over this C&D is hard to match and she’s expected to be right there again but J'OUVERT just appeals a little more. Runner-up over C&D last time to one who had won three of his last four starts her chance is clear to see. Magic Shuffle despite flopping over hurdles last time can’t be left out of the equation whilst Havana Sunset ought to have more to offer if he settles better than he has so far in handicaps.
  1. J'ouvert
  2. Parknacilla
  3. Havana Sunset
