Made a promising start to his career with a ready success at Kempton over today's trip overcoming early inexperience to win in good style. Yard 4-18 with 2yo's this year on the AW; should make a bold follow-up bid under a penalty.

Weakened late on when making his debut at Naas in a 7f maiden in a race where he wasn't overly strong in the market. Bred to be smart (brother to three winners, including smart 2yo Hit It A Bomb); sure to improve, AW may suit.

Relatively unfancied on his York 7f debut on quick ground beating only a couple home after going with little encouragement. Looks the sort to need time and possibly a greater test of stamina having been outpaced on debut.

Easy to back on his Tapeta debut at Wolverhampton he nevertheless shaped with promise having been slow away; stayed on strongly from a poor position. Ought to know more this time; should play a leading role if he takes to a different surface.

Yard not known for their 2yo newcomers; only with 1-27 with 2yo overall in last five years. 30,000 guineas Breeze-Up purchase by Mayson out of a Tiger Hill mare who was a winner over 1m; given a fairly exacting start to his career.

Made progress from his debut when finishing midfield at Newbury last time over 6f; now gets his first experience of the AW. May well win a race in time but that's more likely to be in handicaps than in this sphere.

Struggled to make any impact when a 33-1 chance on debut over 1m at Goodwood; hard to say he improved last time when dropped to 7f producing a laboured effort. Will do well to make an impact; future lies in handicaps.

Offered little in two Newmarket maidens at up to 1m; now steps onto the AW for the first time with plenty to prove. Not one to be interested in.
Shaped as though she needed the run on her debut and failed to show that she had learnt anything from that start when next seen five months later. Will find it difficult to get involved at this level; first AW start.

Forecasts

Desert Peace (3/10), United Front (6/4), Battle Of Liege (9/2), Emirates Currency (9/2), Cruyff (10/1), Party Island (33/1), Trouser The Cash (33/1), Mayson Mount (50/1), Theydon Bagel (100/1), The Simple Truth (100/1)

Verdict

The penalty that DESERT PEACE carries for his Kempton win will make life a little more difficult but he won in the style of a good horse and with his ability already proven on Polytrack he ‘s taken to make it 2-2. He won’t have things all his own way though with Emirates Currency sure to know more this time around after his Wolverhampton debut attempt in which he couldn’t fail to catch the eye; he’s sure to be picking up a contest like this in the near future. Battle Of Liege is a first 2yo runner at the track for Aidan O’Brien and he could improve a great deal from his Naas debut and adds some depth to the contest.
