Went very close to success on his debut start under Rules as he was second of nine at Killarney (2m1f), beaten by just a head. Likely to build upon that debut run here. Has a hood on for the first time. Leading contender.
Appeared for the first time at Hexham (2m) last month where he was fourth of eight. Made smooth progress midway into the contest but could not make an impression on the leaders. Likely to improve here.

He made a huge improvement on his second start in a bumper to finish third of eight, only beaten by a neck at Market Rasen (2m½f). Has had a wind-op since and is set for first run for his new yard here. Worth considering on hurdles debut.

Flemensfirth gelding whose dam was unraced but is a half-sister to Pandorama who was useful over hurdles and fences. Market likely to speak volumes about his chances on his opening appearance.

Mount Nelson gelding who cost €65,000 as a three-year-old. His dam won at trips between 6½f-1m2½f and is a half-sister to 2m hurdles winner Santo Thomas. Has strong claims on paper. One to consider.
Has featured twice in bumpers where he was held on both occasions, including latest attempt at Portrush (3m) as he was seventh of 10. Set for his first run for his new yard here. Best to watch.
Has performed well in her two bumper races without success. She was fourth of 12 on her debut at Perth (2m), while last time she finished third of 15 at Carlisle (2m1f). Comes into her hurdles debut with promise. One for the shortlist.

Forecasts

La Chanteuse (5/2), Dubai Days (7/2), Style Nelson (11/2), Paddy The Panda (11/2), Grumpy Mcgrumpface (6/1), Ladronne (7/1), Empty Quarter (7/1), The Great Georgie (16/1), Silver Twister (25/1)

Verdict

DUBAI DAYS sets the standard with his second place finish at Killarney where he was only denied by a head. He can improve on that display which is likely to be enough to see him break his maiden at the second attempt under Rules. La Chanteuse has produced two encouraging performances in bumpers so expect a big run on his hurdles debut, while Style Nelson is the most interesting newcomer on paper who may just be able to hit the frame on his first outing.
  1. Dubai Days
  2. La Chanteuse
  3. Style Nelson
