Some promise in the spring on first three starts but has been disappointing both runs so far in handicaps this autumn, weakening tamely each time. Plenty of weight and has it all to do.
Landed Southwell maiden hurdle on debut for current yard in July but hasn't backed that up since. Looked to be running better race last time until weakening after last over 2f further so drop in trip might help cause.
Frustrating sort who won for Paul Nicholls in 2016 over 2m5f but hasn't managed a win since for a couple more trainers. Tailed off from halfway last two starts and looks a rank outsider.
Won this race 12 months ago off 2lb lower mark having previously scored at Plumpton. Won at same Plumpton fixture last week (over fences) so looks as though connections have been targeting a repeat win. Strong claims.
Very lightly raced gelding whose only British when came here on New Year's Eve 2015 over 2m4f off 20lb higher mark. Only three outings since then so has clearly had issues but worth noting for any market interest despite very long absence.
10-race maiden who was badly out of form last term and showed little more returning from wind surgery in April. Back after summer break and dropped another 5lb but needs to markedly raise his game to get involved.
Landed 2m4f Market Rasen h'cap hurdle in March for Olly Murphy off 1lb lower mark nut has been beaten a long way for current yard in two recent starts at this track. First-time cheekpieces applied but needs to turn things around to score.
Showed little in five starts in Ireland for Michael Winters. Didn't run badly on debut for current yard at Perth in April but disappointed over C&D time after. Returning from break and is not without hope off 5lb lower being less exposed than most.
Ran 25 times without success prior to winning over C&D two weeks ago on first start since wind op. Followed up last week at Southwell with last gasp victory, and goes for hat-trick off 6lb higher. In great heart at present.
Scrambled home in 2m Doncaster novices handicap hurdle in January and ran creditably at Haydock in March on last start of the term. Reappears now after seven-month break and not out of it if fit and ready to go.
Only win came in Huntingdon 2m h'cap chase this March but has bits and pieces of form over timber so cannot be discounted. Probably best on decent ground though.
Won Bangor novices h'cap chase in August but tailed off on soft ground last time at Southwell. Switched back to hurdles and ran well over C&D in February when third off this mark. Drying ground would help the cause.
Poor form in six starts last term for Kate Buckett but made winning start for current yard when landing Southwell h'cap chase last week. Runs off same lowly mark here over hurdles so should go well if exertions haven't taken their toll.
Second over C&D in July off 1lb higher mark and ran well enough time after. Disappointed under champion jockey at Huntingdon last time but back here a fair display cannot be ruled out.
Shown no form worth mentioning in six starts to date in this sphere and has a mountain to climb, especially from 5lb wqrong at the weights.

Just a moderate contest but there are a few with claims, including last year's winner WENCESLAUS who appears to have been laid out for a repeat success. He won at Plumpton recently, just as he did last year prior to winning this off just a 2lb lower mark. Percy Thrower is in fine form and will be a popular choice to complete a quick hat-trick, while Battleofthesomme turned over a new leaf on debut for current yard when scoring over fences last time and is respected. Highland Bobby and Golan Cloud are others in with a shout.
- Wenceslaus
- Battleofthesomme
