Promising juvenile hurdler in 2016 for Dan Skelton; has had his fair share of training problems and is consequently very lightly raced; remote last when last seen out in October following long break; hard to assess.
Solid 141-rated hurdler but has only hit the frame once in six starts over the larger obstacles; that placed effort did come last time out at Sligo and if able to build on that then he has a fair chance of progressing.
130-rated hurdler; improving and shaping well in five starts over fences since debut in May.; let down by his jumping last time out at Cork and if able to cope better then he has a fair chance in this line-up.
Midfield finish at Galway in August followed by slightly underwhelming effort next at Killarney the same month; bit to prove now but handicapped to go well if near his best.
Won a second chase of his career when landing a Killarney handicap over 2m1f in August off a 7lb lower mark; pulled up at Listowel when something seemed amiss next time; chance if he can bounce back from that performance.
Winner of three of her 17 starts over fences hitting the frame on a further three occasions.; has not been in the best of form since falling at Kilbeggan in August and first-time cheekpieces applied in the hope of concentrating her on the job.
Has won two out of his three chase appearances and showed his well being when scoring over hurdles at Navan at the end of September; more needed at the weights than when last scoring over fences at Perth but certainly a contender.
Has been very busy over the summer and early autumn since winning a Punchestown handicap over two miles; nearly back down to that mark and while not in the best of form is respected.
Winner on the Flat and over hurdles, and has shown plenty in a few chase starts, finishing a creditable second of 10 at Sligo before being placed at Downpatrick last time out; looks well weighted; fair chance.
Forecasts
Ar Eagla Na Heagla (4/1), Jack Dillinger (4/1), Callthebarman (9/2), Mrs Lovett (5/1), Global Jackpot (7/1), Act In Time (7/1), Reach Up (9/1), Powersbomb (10/1), Kasakh Noir (33/1)
A chance is taken with commentator's nightmare AR EAGLA NA HEAGLA who was a beaten favourite last time out at Downpatrick following a very good effort at Sligo the time before. The handicapper has relented slightly with her and she could be ready to win her first chase contest. Mrs Lovett has been slightly out of form since falling at Kilbeggan in August. The application of cheekpieces may aid her chances of restoring some confidence in the mare. Act In Time ran no sort of race last time out and is better judged on his winning run at Killarney in August.
- Ar Eagla Na Heagla
- Mrs Lovett
- Act In Time
