Progressed well this term winning three times at up to 1m2f. Rested since scoring at Goodwood in August and will be fresher than many, but has to contend with 7lb higher mark.
Winner of 4-8 all on the AW. On a hat-trick after defying 5lb rise and stepping up first time to 1m4f to win at Wolverhampton early last month. Raised further 5lb rise but is clearly in great heart and wil be right in the mix.
In good form this spring winning twice at Lingfield over 1m2f. Hasn't shone on last four outings though and is now 3lb lower than last success. Needs to get the show back on the road.
Seeking 11th career success. Struggled for form in three runs this summer having done well winning twice last winter, latter off 89. 2lb lower here but this previous C&D winner needs to be at his best to prevail in a decent event.
Looked fair propsect when winning here over mile in January ten again at Newcastle in February. Fifth in Listed there in April but ran badly next two starts and has been gelded and had wind surgery. Fair return recently but stamina to prove.
Won 1m2f handicaps at Yarmouth and Sandown in August in space of 5 days then close second at Bath. Outclassed in higher grade at HQ last time. Still 76lb higher than last winning mark but 3lb claim helps cause.
Won three times at up to extended 9f for Hugo Palmer. Absent 11 months prior to joining current yard and despite 12lb drop in total hasn't shown much at all in four starts since. Hard to get too excited about.
Won off 80 in Newbury 1m2f h'cap in July and run with criedt both starts since at Sandown. Extra furlong may help and showed fair form in two AW starts last year. One for the shortlist.
Teofilo colt who has won tha last two of hsi trhee starts so far. Hard to know quite what he beat in novice events at Lingfield at Necwastle, but won over 1m4f latter so stays and is with a top team. Looks sure to go well.
Forecasts
Good Tidings (11/8), Just The Man (7/2), Cantiniere (9/2), Creationist (7/1), El Ghazwani (10/1), Lawn Ranger (20/1), Star Archer (25/1), Geetanjali (40/1), Exceeding Power (40/1)
An interesting race in which the pair at the foot of the handicap are worthy of serious consideration. JUST THE MAN is marginally preferred having run well most starts of late and the feeling is he'll improve again for the extra furlong. Good Tidings could be a blot on the handicap on his first start in this sphere but it's not dififcult to pull holes in his novice form. He could do no more more than win though and is a decent prospect. Cantiniere is another who should figure and won't go down without a fight, while a wind op may have helped Creationist who didn't run badly last time on his first start back.
- Just The Man
- Good Tidings
- Creationist
