Had a good first season over hurdles last year, winning at Plumpton (2m, good) and being placed on five other runs, including off this mark. Was well beaten on the Flat at Bath (1m5f, good to soft) 71 days ago and any rain is a negative.

Has been in good heart on her last three runs, including winning at Cartmel (2m1f, soft) two starts back. A 6lb rise for that win may not have helped last time and has more on her plate today back against the boys.

Got off the mark on his third hurdling start over C&D (good to firm) six months ago. Form of that doesn't look strong, however, and this opening mark may be a shade high.

Showed steady improvement, albeit well beaten each time, on three starts last season. Raced keenly at Bangor (2m½f, soft) 25 days ago but drew away for a comfortable success and make his handicap debut off a reasonable mark.

Landed two of his three bumpers before winning on hurdling debut at Uttoxeter (2m, good) in May. Was never travelling at Ffos Las shortly afterwards but if forgiving that, he still retains plenty of potential.

A surprise winner of a maiden hurdle at Huntingdon (2m, good to soft) in March, he was well beaten at Ascot (1m7½f, good) next time. That victory wasn't the only time last season he showed ability but is hard to predict.

Has steadily improved since joining the Skelton yard, winning at Bangor (2m3½f, good) in August. Likely to go up in the weights next week after finishing 2¼L behind a 140-rated at Kempton last Sunday and has to be strongly considered.

Failed to win in five points and has been a mixed bag over hurdles so far. Tailed off at Ludlow (2m5½f, good) 18 days ago and now a hood is added for handicap debut.

Only hurdling win was in March 2016. Did win the Flat back in July at Epsom but isn't the most consistent and likely to find the opposition here a bit too tough.

Verdict

Despite being well-placed, not many horses win two bumpers and NOW LOOK AT ME bettered that form when winning on hurdling debut at Uttoxeter in May. His latest run at Ffos Las was too bad to be true and he is the selection to make a winning handicap debut. Aweeminit has improved all season and is undoubtedly well-handicapped on her run at Kempton last Sunday but she rather picked up the pieces there whilst Jembug Drummer took a big step forward at Bangor and can make the frame if settling better.
