Son of Sea The Stars who cost 190,000€ as yearling. Second on debut at Bath (1m2f, good to soft) last October and returned after 11-months off to win impressively at Epsom (1m2f, heavy) four weeks ago. Sets a high standard and will be hard to beat.
Started his career late in life at the age of six, he was beaten 117L when last at Epsom behind Edinburgh Castle four weeks ago. Hugh improvement needed.
Generally consistent over 1m/1m2f, finishing third last time at Sandown (1m2f, good to firm) two months ago, beaten 2½L. Likely to run his race and a strong contender to chase the favourite home.
Hasn't troubled the judge in eleven starts and, with an official rating of just 39, a similar outcome is likely again.
Didn't shape too badly at Lingfield (1m, Polytrack) on debut 23 days ago, keeping on well despite missing the break and racing greenly. Wouldn't be crying for this trip on pedigree with a very speedy family but should have learnt plenty last time.
From a good family with both parents Group 1 winners over 1m. Slowly away but kept on promisingly at Wolverhampton (1m½f, Tapeta) nine days ago and this longer trip should bring about further improvement. Place claims.
Daughter of Sea The Stars out of a Listed winner but having sold for 140,000€ as a yearling she failed to sell when offered again last December. Finished eighth on debut here six weeks ago, beaten 8¾L and needs to improve on that.
Two poor efforts either side of a decent second at Kempton (1m4f, Polytrack) in July. She was 5L clear of a subsequent Listed winner that day and can't be ruled out if she can return to that form.
Made the frame a couple of times for William Haggas last year. Reappeared for a new yard at Kempton (1m, Polytrack) to finish sixth of ten in July but has since left Ralph Beckett and starts out for another new yard here. Best watched.
Forecasts
Edinburgh Castle (10/11), Cheer The Title (11/4), Wemyss Ware (9/2), Rewrite The Stars (6/1), Wingreen (20/1), Limalima (25/1), Dawry (33/1), Big Bang (66/1), Daniel Dravot (100/1)
EDINBURGH CASTLE sets a very high standard on his two runs so far and will be very hard to beat. Wemyss Ware is well-bred for leading connections and should improve on his debut whilst Cheer The Title is very consistent and should make the frame.
