Yet to win after 62 attempts and there's been little in her recent outings to imply that may change in the near future.

Recorded his second win when landing a 6f handicap here earlier this month. Not disgraced in a better race at Kempton after racing wide 10 days ago and, having won over this trip too, is worthy of strong consideration.

Very little to be enthusiastic about from his days in Ireland but his GB debut at Kempton (1m, Polytrack) four days ago was a promising effort. He was denied a clear run to finish fifth, beaten 4L. Isn't ruled out on that form.

Has won eight races over the years but nearly 18 months since he was last successful. Hasn't looked like landing a blow in seven races this term and really needs to bounce back to get involved.

Another longstanding maiden but is consistent in the context of this race and has form figures of 27232223 at this track, including last time when third over 6f. Cheekpieces worn last time are removed and is worthy of respect.

Broke his maiden on seasonal debut when landing a C&D handicap. Not in the same form since but wasn't beaten far over 1m here last time out and may well appreciate the drop back to 7f here.

Having showed a modicum of ability as a juvenile in 2016, he reappeared after nearly three years off to finish eighth of 14 at Kempton (7f, Polytrack) 10 days ago. Kept on late there but this could be a quick reappearance.

So Claire9
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-1| J: Jane Elliott(3)| T: W R Muir| OR:  51| D

Her form has been a mixed bag but returned from a 56-day break to get-up late at Wolverhampton (7f, Tapeta) nine days ago, in a similar contest. Confidence high after breaking her duck and she should be bang there.

Her form had been moderate until finishing fourth behind So Claire at Wolverhampton (7f, Tapeta) nine days ago. That was a step forward but another required if she's to reverse form with her Wolverhampton conqueror.

Hasn't been running badly in recent weeks, including when beaten a neck over C&D last time out. Always held by the winner on that occasion but she is consistent for this grade and can make the frame.

Three big defeats in maiden company over a six-week period, most recently at Windsor (6f, soft) 19 days ago. Big drop in grade for this contest but will need to improve significantly on what we've seen so far to trouble the market principals.

Looks a modest maiden on the majority of her form but there was a glimmer of promise when fourth, beaten 4¾L, over 1m here two runs back. Reverted to type last time and now makes her debut for a new yard.

Very little to get excited about in 15 starts to date between 5f and 1m2f. Difficult to be enthusiastic about his chances.

Forecasts

Catapult (5/2), Doogan's Warren (7/2), Salmon Fishing (5/1), Prince Rock (8/1), Islay Mist (8/1), Quick Monet (10/1), So Claire (12/1), Caesonia (16/1), Jane Camille (25/1), Henrietta's Dream (25/1), Ultimat Power (33/1), Opera Kiss (33/1), Gulland Rock (50/1), Caledonian Gold (50/1)

Verdict

After gaining her first win just last week at Wolverhampton, there is a strong chance that SO CLAIRE can follow-up in similar race here. Doogan's Warren may well have finished closer at Kempton on Tuesday with a clear run and may well build on that on just his second run for John Butler whilst Prince Rock doesn't win very often but likes it here and should make the frame if running his race. Catapult is also worth adding to the shortlist.
  1. So Claire
  2. Doogan's Warren
  3. Prince Rock
