Game winner over 7f here in September (beat Al Ozzdi by a neck) supplementing earlier gains on turf at Thirsk; twice a beaten favourite since and has more to do here (over 1m) on unfavourable terms.
Knocking at the door in Class 5 handicaps during the summer at Redcar and Newbury (1m), also at Beverley (1m2f); his sole win came on the AW in a Dundalk maiden for Ger Lyons last November; tongue-tie now applied.
Lightly raced maiden (cost 77,000gns as a yearling); that said, has ample experience of racing on Tapeta at Wolverhampton (238) from late last year; makes his belated seasonal reappearance (305-day absence) at a realistic level.
Underwhelming since readily taking a 1m2f Windsor novice median auction (good) by 2½L in May; her lack of a finishing effort in her last couple of races (admittedly on heavy at Nottingham latest) is an obvious cause for concern; Tapeta debut.
All three wins have come on the AW (on varying surfaces); in the midst of a consistent spell of form since winning a Class 5 handicap by a neck at Kempton (1m) in early September; rates as one for the shortlist.
Made a striking impression when winning over C&D on debut (Class 5 fillies' novice) before bombing out in testing conditions at Haydock; recently returned from a five-month absence with a pleasing 3L second to New Angel (J.Gosden); of some interest.
Seven-race maiden; chased home Soloist (winning hurdler Lady Shanawell third) on her last visit to Newcastle (1m4f) in August; broadly consistent since (1m-1m2f) without necessarily progressing; can be opposed at this trip.
Forecasts
In The Cove (3/1), Scheme (3/1), Geizy Teizy (7/2), First Response (7/1), Blindingly (15/2), Robotique Danseur (9/1), Fortissimo (18/1)
A tight race on official BHA handicap ratings with just 3lb separating the entire field (all rated 72-75). However, it is the top-rated filly ROBOTIQUE DANSEUR who makes most appeal for the locally-based John Dance. She was a striking C&D debut winner before bombing out in testing conditions at Haydock. Given time to recover from those exertions, she posted an encouraging comeback run here three weeks ago when a clear second best to the John Gosden-trained New Angel. With the Richard Hannon-trained In The Cove feared most, she rates as a confident selection electing to take the classified stakes route rather than slipping straight into a Class 5 (0-75) handicap.
