Half-brother to a point winner, out of a moderate maiden sister to a 2m2f hurdle and 2m4f chase winner. Trainer 0-26 in bumpers over five seasons.
Dam was well held under both codes in France. Grandam a middle distance AQPS Flat winner. Trainer 0-2 in bumpers this season, so probably one to watch.
€180,000 foal, but went for £11,000 in Doncaster's August 2019 sales. Dam won over 1m4f (AW). Trainer 10% over five season in bumpers, and this is his first such entry this season. Market check.
Cost £14,000 in June 2019. Dam placed over 1m2f, is half-sister to a 7f Group 2 winner. Trainer averages 4% in this sphere over five seasons. Looks one to watch on debut.
€18,500 foal. Half-brother to two hurdle winners (2m/2m3f), out of an unraced sister to bumper and subsequent top class chaser Time For Rupert. Trainer 15% in bumpers over five years (0-7 this season). Interesting.
Cost 10,000gns in May. Dam unplaced over middle distance on the Flat, half-sister to a Group-placed sprinter. In good hands, and trainer is both in good form and 2-4 in bumpers this season. Tongue-tied. Very interesting.
Dam placed over 1m4f (AW). Not many positive clues otherwise from his pedigree. Tongue-tied and looks best watched on debut.
€58,000 foal. Dam a 2yo sprint winner, but there are middle distance Flat influences on his page too. Top trainer is 0-3 with previous bumper raiders in past five seasons (9% over that period in Ireland). Market check.
Dam a 2m3f hurdles winning half-sister to a pair of 2m-2m6f hurdle/chase scorers. Trainer (among the winners) is 21% in bumpers this season, so this gelding could show up well on debut.
Half-sister to two 1m2f AW winners and also an Italian winner over 1m1f-1m3f. Stable 11% in this sphere over five seasons (bettering either its hurdle or chase strike-rates), is having its first such runner this season. Market check.
Dam couldn't make the frame over 7f-1m in five attempts, but is half-sister to a 1m Group 2 winner. Just 1-51 for this stable in bumpers over five seasons, so looks best watched on debut.
Dam an unraced half-sister to a 2m-2m5f hurdle and chase winner. Trainer 8% in Irish bumpers over five seasons (0-1 in Britain in that period). Interesting jockey booking and deserves a market check.
Cost £42,000 in May. Half-sister to five winners, one of them in a bumper. From a good family and in the hands of a trainer who is 2-5 in this discipline this season. Interesting.
Dam placed in a bumper and 2m hurdle, and pedigree suggests she might pick up a race somewhere down the track, but probably not today.
Forecasts
The Rebel Outlaw (6/4), Sergeant O'leary (6/1), Shinobi (8/1), Hollow Gold (8/1), Finest Evermore (10/1), Karastani (10/1), Vulcan Bomber (14/1), Gris D'oudairies (14/1), Mr Chua (16/1), Cameronscat (50/1), Soldier On (66/1), Dark Storm (66/1), City Flame (66/1), Katchar Kiss (80/1)
As ever, it can pay to stick to the tried and tested in this sphere, which should bring in Shinobi, Hollow Gold, Vulcan Bomber and Sergeant O'Leary. Finest Evermore has the champion up and could also get involved, while The Rebel Outlaw is not written off. However, KARASTANI has a good jumping pedigree, with bumper success also involved, and she is suggested.
- Karastani
- Shinobi
- Vulcan Bomber
