Ran well from higher marks earlier in the season, when with George Scott, including on soft. Well held on stable debut at York last time, so needs to bounce back, but may do so now down in grade.
Has it to prove on soft ground but has won four times over this trip on going with 'good' in the description. Has slipped to a handy mark, but still held from it at Doncaster last time. More needed.
6lb higher than his latest win. Last of 14 at Catterick on Saturday, and needs to be much better than that if he takes up this engagement.
C&D winner on fast ground last season. 2lb higher than his last winning mark. Went close from 2lb higher earlier in the season, but below par last two starts, and soft ground a concern.
Multiple winner over this trip, including on soft. 5lb higher than the most recent of those at Thirsk in August, and has looked in the grip of the handicapper since.
Mudlark who three wins to his name over 5f-6f. Up 10lb for the most recent of those, a ready success at Hamilton last month. More on his plate in better company and from a poor draw, but not written off.
Arrives seeking a hat-trick after wins at Ayr (5f, good) and Musselburgh (5f, soft). Penalised for the latter, but wouldn't be confident that the extra burden will stop him completing another win.
C&D scorer (good to soft) last month in a 0-80, when 7L to the good over Hawaam. Went close next time after a 4lb rise. Another 4lb higher here and was well held from this mark at Nottingham last time. More needed.
Prolific winner over this trip, including here last season, and also a couple of times on soft. Held at Musselburgh last time, but still on a competitive mark, and can't be dismissed lightly.
Triple winner on good to firm/good to soft (handles soft/heavy). Ran well at Ayr last time, but nudged back up 2lb for that, so more needed, but not ruled out each-way.
More of a 6f specialist, and has won here twice over that trip, including on soft. Up 6lb for a decisive Ripon win last time, which could make life difficult again, and doesn't have the best of draws either.
Has gone 22 runs since the last of his five wins. Competitive on plenty of occasions this season, but up 2lb again for his latest effort, so more needed.
Sprang a 16-1 surprise at Catterick on Saturday (7f, soft). Drops back in trip under a penalty here, but clearly entitled to plenty of respect if he takes his chance.
Forecasts
Militia (3/1), Roundhay Park (8/1), Rolladice (8/1), Autumn Flight (8/1), Our Little Pony (9/1), Sheepscar Lad (9/1), Hawaam (11/1), War Whisper (12/1), Prestbury Park (12/1), Storm Over (14/1), Gamesome (16/1), Penny Pot Lane (22/1), Desert Ace (33/1)
Holes to be picked in the form of the majority here, not least Saturday's 7f Catterick winner ROLLADICE, who relished the soft ground there and could also be suited by this stiff track. He is taken to complete a quickfire double under a penalty. Desert Ace could prove the pick of the remainder, while stablemate Gamesome and also Sheepscar Lad could make their presence felt. Storm Over is not written off.
- Rolladice
- Desert Ace
- Gamesome
