Improved on a promising debut to score with some authority at Southwell (6f, AW) last time. Dam handled soft ground. Carries a penalty this time, but needs taking seriously.
6-1 and beaten 7L by Royal Context on debut at Southwell (6f, AW; first-time hood) last month. Headgear discarded today. Needs improvement, even on these revised terms, and has to prove he handles heavy.
11-2 and well held when 16½L sixth of nine on debut at Ripon (6f, good to soft) last month. Should come on for that run, but needs plenty of improvement.
First foal of a 5f-7f winner who raced only on a sound or fast surface on turf. Probably one to watch first time out unless market vibes strong.
Has gone close in both starts, the better of the pair being here (5f, good to firm) on debut. Handled soft ground last time, when beaten at odds-on at Beverley. Entitled to serious consideration in trying to make it third time lucky.
Improved on his Southwell debut when 5½L third on heavy ground at Hamilton (5f) last time. Needs to raise the bar here, but can't rule him out of the frame again.
£40,000 yearling. Fifth foal. Half-sister to winners Red Balloons (5f/6f 2yo), Revel (1m AW) & Dutch Archer (5f). Dam 5f turf 2yo/6f AW winner who never raced on slower than good (sire won three times on good to soft). Market check on debut.
£110,000 yearling. First foal. Dam 7f-1m4f winner (inc GB 2yo/on heavy), half-sister to 5f Group 1 winner Mabs Cross and useful 5f-6f winner Eccleston. Very interesting newcomer. Trainer not noted for debut winners, but can have them. Market check.
40-1 and last of 12, beaten 29L on debut at Carlisle last month.
33-1 and beat just one home when beaten 28L at Ripon (6f, good to soft) last month.
10-1 but blew the start on debut at Thirsk (6f, soft) in August. Finished 7½L adrift there, which was no disgrace. Much more needed in this, but expect to see some improvement.
