Bought from Henry De Bromhead for £8,000 last month and immediately dropped in grade for new yard. Often a front-runner in Ireland but form has dropped away recently and blinkers now replace usual cheek pieces.
Has found this grade to his liking and followed up Stratford win over 2m2f with an emphatic 12L win over 2m7f at Worcester. Drop down to the minimum trip a concern but does bring best recent form to the table.
Facile winner of a seller in July on last start for Gordon Elliott. Not in quite the same form for current stable though will appreciate this drop down in trip having not stayed 2m5f on latest.
Best effort, though ordinary form, when fourth here in January. Remains lightly raced and should come on for recent Warwick reappearance. Down in class for a stable who do well here and could be open to improvement.
Claims on stand out effort when second at Bangor in May when with Dan Skelton but has shown very little since on the Flat and over Jumps for different yards since and needs to bounce back on this first run in selling company.
Fit from the Flat when showing improved form last time over hurdles when 15L fourth at Southwell in August. That form has been well franked by the winner and third since, though disappointing run on the Flat since tempers enthusiasm.
Forecasts
Ballyellis (5/6), Skeaping (4/1), Some Boy Mccoy (11/2), Arcenfete (15/2), Joycetick (14/1), Point Taken (40/1)
The drop down to the minimum trip on a sharp track may not be ideal for BALLYELLIS but he comes here in good heart and can complete the hat-trick in selling company. Some Boy McCoy is lightly raced and returns to the scene of his best run to date and along with Joycetick may provide the main danger.
