Won a Listed contest at Navan last year but has been generally struggling in better races than this since. Fourth of eight on AW debut last month but could be of interest taking a significant step up in trip.

Won for the third time in his career when landing a Sligo 5½f good ground handicap off a 1lb lower mark in August. Well held in four disappointing efforts since and possibly best watched on AW debut.

Put a number of disappointing efforts behind her when winning over C&D on AW debut earlier this month off a 5lb lower mark. Another bold show looks likely.

Early season promise appears to have leveled out to a certain degree following a couple of below-par efforts at Listowel in the space of two days last month. Hard to fancy.

Forecasts

Festina Plente (5/1), Never Back Down (6/1), Katiymann (6/1), All The King's Men (8/1), Sirjack Thomas (8/1), Equitant (8/1), She's A Babe (8/1), Ahlan Bil Zain (12/1), Emphatic (14/1), Kasbah (18/1), Geological (22/1), Klute (25/1), St Brelades Bay (25/1), Time Stands Still (50/1)

Verdict

The Mick Halford-trained AHLAN BIL ZAIN can bounce back to form here following a couple of set backs in his last couple of starts. A solid record over C&D the five-year-old has three victories as well as three places from seven starts over the combination and can thrive back at this venue. Stablemate, the mount of Colin Keane, Katiymann can emerge as the biggest danger while All The King's Men for trainer Aidan O'Brien and C&D winner She's A Babe can pose the biggest threat to the main fancies.
  1. Ahlan Bil Zain
  2. Katiymann
  3. All The King's Men
