Scored on his debut on the AW at Lingfield (1m) where he impressed in the closing stages with a nice turn of foot to prevail by 1¼L. Open to improvement here so he is a leading contender to follow up, despite his penalty.
Appeared twice in 2018 without success. He came home 12L behind the winner when he was third of four at Doncaster (1m4f) on his latest outing. Set for first taste of the AW here. Best to watch on his return to action.
Was denied his opening success by just a head at this course (1m½f) two runs back. Set for his first run since finishing third of eight at Chelmsford (1m2f) in October 2018. This is his opening outing for his new yard. One to watch for now.
Made an impressive winning start at this track over 7f where she scored by 6L in a fillies' only race, justifying going off as the 7/4 favourite on her debut. Is now taking on the opposite sex here. One for the shortlist.
Got off the mark at the first attempt at Chelmsford (1m) after finishing her race strongly. She was unable to follow that up at Newcastle (1m) as she was third of five after going off as the evens favourite. One to consider here.
Lope De Vega gelding who cost 48,000 gns as a yearling. His dam was a winner over 7f as a two-year-old. He is a half-brother to Beautiful Morning who won at trips up to 1m2f. Should be better with experience on his side.
Has been well-beaten on his two starts so far. He was third of six last time over this C&D where he came home 11½L off the winner. Will need to improve on this latest appearance if he is to finish in the mix.
Has shown encouragement on both of his two starts so far. He was third of 12 on his debut at Yarmouth (1m), while last time he was second of eight at Kempton (1m) after going off as the 4/9 favourite. One to consider.
Dubawi gelding whose dam won as a two-year-old between 6f and 1m, including the Fillies' Mile. He is a brother to Dufay who scored over 7f. Interesting newcomer, especially if there is strong market support behind him.
Has been well-beaten in her two appearances to date. She was seventh of 10 at Chelmsford (1m) on her latest start after going off at 50/1. Needs to take a huge stride forward here to be competitive.
Failed to shine over this C&D on her opening start when she was 10th of 12, beaten by 44L back in August. She was slowly away on that occasion and never got into the race. Needs to improve massively on this latest attempt.
Forecasts
Dawaam (1/1), Informed Front (5/2), Nabeyla (7/2), Perfect Number (8/1), Wemyss Ware (20/1), Fields Of Dreams (50/1), Profound (66/1), Archon (80/1), Calima Calling (100/1), Gms Princess (100/1), Clooney (150/1)
DAWAAM made an impressive opening appearance at Lingfield on the AW where he got off to a winning start to his career. He will need to carry a penalty here but he can have more success as he should be even better this time out. Informed Front was fancied to break his maiden last time where he was odds-on at Kempton but he had to settle for the runner-up spot that day and that may be the case again here, while Nabeyla can't be discounted to build on her opening victory as she takes on the opposite sex this time.
- Dawaam
- Informed Front
- Nabeyla
