Landed a hat-trick of wins on seasonal debut when winning a Sedgefield 2m4f soft ground novice hurdle earlier this month. Goes well for this rider and another bold show looks to be on the cards.
Winner in a point-to-point contest in April before running well in defeat in an Aintree 2m1f bumper when last seen in May. Sold for £50,000 since and likely to go well on debut for a yard with a good record round here in October.
Sending out mixed messages in a number of bumper starts since December when in the hands of J J Hanlon in Ireland. Market likely to be the best guide on hurdling and stable debut.
Winner of his second point-to-point start when last seen in April. Probably best looking to the market for best pointers on debut over timber in this contest.
Progressed well from debut race when winning a Warwick bumper where he showed a good attitude when pressed. Beaten on final start of the season in March when behind some decent types. More likely than some to run his race.
Not much to shout about in a number of dismal efforts for former and current connections when last seen 12 months ago. Easy to oppose once again.
Gelding by Aizavoski out of a Luso mare. Cost 40,000 as a four-year-old. Half-brother to a point-to-point winner. Second of five beaten 1½L when last seen between the flags in May and worthy of a market check on debut here.
Below-par 48-rated handicapper on the Flat. Beaten 61L on first start of the year in a Southwell 1m6f handicap on the AW last month. Faces a tough ask on hurdling debut.
By Midnight Legend out of a Mtoto mare. Brother to six winners including William H Bonney and Tigris second of five in a Listed novice hurdle over 2m1f. Yard have a good record round here in the month of October.
Off the mark for connections at the second time of asking in a Chepstow bumper in December. Beaten since when last seen in February but worth a market check here on hurdling debut.
French import. Without a win in eight starts over hurdles and has refused to start either of her most recent starts on the Flat and over timber when last seen in June last year. Hard to fancy.
Forecasts
West Cork (6/5), Keep Rolling (9/4), Jatiluwih (11/2), Dino Boy (15/2), Young Bull (20/1), Eclair On Line (20/1), Russian Invasion (25/1), Dublin Four (40/1), Miss Tootsy (125/1), Sincerely Resdev (200/1), Meldrum Way (250/1)
The trainer/jockey combination of Phillip Hobbs and Richard Johnson can win over hurdles at the first attempt with KEEP ROLLING. The Mahler gelding won a Warwick bumper in December, a race that has produced the third Green Dolphin to win for Harry Fry as well as The Captains Inn to win on a couple of occasions for trainer Ben Pauling. The six-year-old can hold off the attentions of the Dan Skelton newcomer, West Cork and the Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained Dino Boy, another making his debut over timber. Jatiluwih, winner of three novice hurdles for trainer Phillip Hobbs and jockey David Maxwell can give another good account of himself.
- Keep Rolling
- West Cork
- Dino Boy
