Failed to get much luck here last time when hampered over 1m2f having run well since winning at Nottingham in August off a 2lb lower mark. Ought to cope with the return to 1m; generally ridden prominently, deserves another chance.

Only the third run of the year having been off for nearly a year when making her comeback at Sandown last month. Failed to improve for that run last time again running poorly (slowly away); plenty to prove at the moment.

Had a busy year but does have three wins to show for her endeavours although the last of those was some eight starts ago now. Ran better than for a while last time out; has fallen below her last winning mark, so given a chance by the handicapper.

Consistent sort who just can't seem to get her head in front at the moment underlining that point with another second last time out at Chester. Slipped 3lb below her last winning mark and another sound display is expected this time around.

Twice a winner at shorter trips this year she's yet to really convince that she stays this far; she definitely failed to improve for stepping up in distance last time at this venue. Given another chance but others look more appealing propositions.

Not really hit her stride for this yard after being a dual winner for Eve Johnson- Houghton last year at up to 1m on the AW. Ran off his last winning mark last time (now back below that) but failed to convince (ran too free); limited appeal.

Useful hurdler winning three times in the 2018/19 season but not seen in this sphere since August 2017. Returns from a recent wind op off a very lenient mark compared to his jumping one; dangerous customer if he's tuned up for this.

Left Richard Fahey after winning a Chepstow seller over 6f in August capitalising on the drop in grade (didn't have much to beat). Appeared to stay this trip on stable debut at this venue (form looks weak); hard to be definitive about.

One of the more likely sorts in this having recently won at Ayr over this trip in soft conditions finally opening her winning account. Looks better since wearing a tongue-tie; up 5lb but should cope having run well off higher marks in the past.

Below form last time having run wide at Chester although she may not be one to be making too many excuses for as she remains a maiden (0-8). Now gets her first try at 1m for this yard but remains unconvincing, others appeal more.

Made all at Leicester last time when well supported in conditions she loves to return a career-best performance returning from a four month break. That was her first run over 7f for a while; will be suited by the return to 1m off the same mark.

Continues well below form having produced a miserable performance over significantly further at Haydock in an amateur rider's affair last time. Blinkers tried for the first-time; 2lb out of the handicap; hard to make a case for her.

Turned in another moody display last time when well beaten behind Milan Reef at Leicester; minimal if any chance of reversing that form. Wandered around badly, weakened quickly, hood now tried again from 1lb out of the weights.

Verdict

One or two of the principal’s relish soft ground so any further rain won’t deter them and MILAN REEF is given the nod to follow up her Leicester romp off the same mark with this 1m trip looking to suit her well. Gamesters Icon is another who enjoys the prevailing conditions and showed her prowess with ease in the ground at Ayr last time although that was her first win. Lady Alavesa can’t be ruled out given her consistency but will need others to falter in order to collect. Useful hurdler Hijran returning from a wind op off an interesting mark along with Capriolette and Jungle Juice add to the depth of the contest.
