Probably should have won on his hurdle debut at Listowel last month but had too much ground to make up in the closing stages; looks one of the more likely winners of this contest.
Rated 72 on the Flat without a win in career five starts; has shown bits and pieces of form but does not stand out as the winner of this race on his hurdles debut.
Rated 64 on the Flat and failed to make any impression in four starts; hard to see him getting competitive on timber bow but maybe worth a look at in the market.
Reasonably bred; unraced on the Flat; let down by some poor jumping on debut at Gowran Park earlier this month but not disgraced and entitled to progress.
Well beaten at huge prices on all his starts over hurdles; likely to be the same story once again.
Three dismal efforts as a juvenile on the Flat in 2018 hardly suggests he will be capable of scoring here on his hurdles debut.
Not devoid of talent on the Flat but rarely threatened to pick up place prize money yet alone win; change of stable two starts ago perked him up a little but would still be a surprise to see him get competitive.
Has shown ability in three maidens on the Flat, well held month in the big Charity Race (1m) at the Curragh. Hurdles debutant with scope for better.
Looks to be going the right way over hurdles though needs to improve him jumping; mid-division debut at Listowel was bettered at Ballinrobe (both in September); can improve again and has chances.
Had jumped better on his second outing over hurdles at Listowel in September but then unseated his rider after a mistake at Gowran Park last time out; not without a chance given a clear round..
Much improved jumping saw the filly win over hurdles at the second time of asking at Down Royal in August; warmed up for this contest with a spin on the AW at Dundalk earlier this month and looks the one they have to beat.
Last of 14 on only racecourse appearance hardly bodes well for her chances on hurdles debut; best watched unless significant market support.
At least has the benfit of experience over hurdles having raced twice already but form was nothing special and looks an unlikely winner.

A Wave Of The Sea (4/5), Laura Bullion (11/4), Kid Curry (6/1), Theatre Of War (8/1), Donnersnstrings (16/1), Cerberus (25/1), Recent Revelations (33/1), Lalipour (50/1), Midnight Geisha (50/1), Scotts Honor (50/1), Ventnor (50/1), Frozen Spring (66/1), Sean Says (100/1), Isosceles (100/1)
LAURA BULLION looks the pick in a fairly weak field of three-year-old hurdlers. There was plenty to like about the way she won at Down Royal at the end of August having improved her jumping from her Ballinrobe debut. Best of the rest should be A Wave Of The Sea who was let down by his jumping on his debut coupled with being too far off the pace as they turned for home. he will certainly improve and give the likely favourite most to do. Theatre Of War has been plagued by poor jumping so far in his short hurdling career but if overcoming them he has the ability to run a fair race.
- Laura Bullion
- A Wave Of The Sea
- Theatre Of War
