Has already recorded four wins this year and he came close to more success last time at Beverley (7½f) when he was second of 11, beaten by ½L. Is now just 1lb higher in the weights. One to consider.
Won four times in five starts last year. His form lately has been poor though as he has failed to beat a single runner in his last two runs, including latest at Catterick (7f). Hard to fancy on evidence of recent form.
Scored over this C&D last time where he made all to score by a neck. Has gone up just 2lb for that success. Has a great chance of following up here as the majority of his best form has come at this track.
Broke his maiden on his second start when he won at Naas (6f) in a 20 runner contest. Has failed to a beat single rival on his latest two appearances, including on the AW at Newcastle (1m) last month. Needs to produce much more.
Has not won since July 2017 but he has put in a couple of good performances over this trip this year. Needs to bounce back from his latest appearance at Nottingham (1m½f) where he was last of 10 runners. Has to be respected off this mark.
His second win of his career came at Ayr over this distance back in July. Has struggled since then though, including on his last run at Beverley (7½f) where he had just one horse behind him in a 10 runner field. Others are preferred.
Yet to shine in his three starts, with his latest effort coming at Newbury (1m2f) back in May where he was 10th of 19. Set for his handicap debut here on his first run for his new yard. Could be interesting, especially is there is market support.
Is still a maiden after 13 starts. Was just a neck behind at Carlisle (7f) in a six runner contest earlier this year, while on his last outing, he was sixth of 14 on the AW at Newcastle (7f). Is down 1lb but others appeal more.
Has been well below his best recently which has meant he has fallen down the weights. He finished 10th of 15 last time at Thirsk (7f). Down to a career low mark now but does need to improve on latest performances.
Is on a losing stretch which goes back to August 2018 and his most recent efforts indicate he is unlikely to end that any time soon, including when he was 13th of 15 at Thirsk last time. Has dropped down 3lb in the weights. Others are preferred.
His sole success came on the AW at Wolverhampton (6f) on just his second career start. Has yet to add to that but he was only ½L away when he finished third of 13 at Redcar (7f) three runs ago. Is down to a career low mark now. Can't be discounted.
Recorded back-to-back wins at Nottingham over 6f back in August. Finished fourth of 17 last time on his return to Nottingham (6f). Remains off the same mark and is up in trip. Has each-way claims here.
Forecasts
Black Friday (3/1), Ugo Gregory (9/2), How Bizarre (7/1), Ollivander (7/1), Highlight Reel (17/2), Imperial State (9/1), Mostahel (12/1), Najib (16/1), Arcavallo (16/1), Ramesses (20/1), Shining Armor (40/1), Western Dawn (40/1)
HOW BIZARRE rarely runs badly at this track and he has a great chance of following up from his C&D success here last time off this 2lb higher mark. Ollivander has had an excellent year and his latest performance at Beverley indicates he may not be done just yet for the campaign so expect to see him go close, while Mostahel can fill the placings off his new career low mark as he bids for his first victory on turf.
- How Bizarre
- Ollivander
- Mostahel
