Half-brother to Altiepix, bumper winner over 2m and Crack Tiepy, successful on sole bumper start . Shaped very well when second of 7 to Shanwalla in a maiden bumper at Listowel, and should put that initial experience to good use now.
Sans Frontieres half-brother to modest hurdler West To Crossgales out of an unraced mare. Makes limited appeal on paper, and yard 0-7 in bumpers in last 5 seasons.
Mahler gelding out of a once-raced Sendawar mare. Not enormously appealing on pedigree, but powerful yard has a 22% record in bumpers, so needs a market check.
By Jeremy out of a full- sister to high-class staying hurdler Bog Warrior. Yard gets winners in this sphere, and this gelding makes plenty of appeal on breeding, so respected.
€10,000 Fame And Glory half-brother to fair 2½m hurdle winner Kilbrew Boy. Top stable has a 22% strike rate in bumpers, and this gelding is another who merits a check in the betting.
€5,500 half-brother to winning French hurdlers Pas Interessee and Madonna Island . Just minor appeal on paper, but yard can ready a newcomer, and any market support should be noted.
Runner-up in a British point-to-point bumper, and landed a maiden open over 2½m in May. That form nothing special, but experience a plus, and he has joined a powerful dual-purpose yard.
Has featured three times in bumpers under Rules. She was fourth of eight at Tramore (2m) last time, finishing 10L off the winner. Open to improvement still but others make more appeal.
Has a couple of clunkers in her record, but has several times run to a fairly useful level, including when second of 11 to Suvretta in a maiden bumper at Clonmel last time. Sure to be thereabouts with a repeat.
Hinted at ability when mid-field in a maiden bumper at Navan a fortnight ago, but has plenty to find and is likely to need more time.

Dam has produced nothing of note from five previous foals, and this daughter of Oscar merely hinted at ability when 30¼ lengths sixth of 8 to Rescue Package in a mares maiden bumper at Ballinrobe. Tongue tied now.

Forecasts

Eurotiep (9/4), Feelgood Island (7/2), Lady Of Elysium (4/1), Wingin A Prayer (5/1), Farsideofthemoon (8/1), It Takes Time (12/1), Henry Brown (14/1), Handsworth (25/1), Tick Along (25/1), Beeverstown Bullet (33/1), Singing Tree (33/1), Future Glory (50/1)

Verdict

None of the newcomers cost the earth, and the best may be former British pointer Wingin A Prayer, who has joined the powerful Jessica Harrington string. Preference, though, is for those with bumper experience, and EUROTIEP should be hard to contain if improving as expected on a promising debut at Listowel. Lady of Elysium sets a fair standard, and while she looks fully exposed, she still has solid place claims.
  1. Eurotiep
  2. Lady Of Elysium
  3. Wingin A Prayer
