A Beverley regular (often placed 5f-7½f); soft-ground excuses latest, but was put firmly in her place by the front-running Flylikeaneagle in a three-runner affair on the Westwood previously; AW debut.

Caught the eye when finishing third (250-1) to the odds-on winner Jovial (Sir Michael Stoute) in a C&D novice last month; her opening mark of 65 appears to be reasonably fair; Josephine Gordon a useful booking; possibilities.

£80,000 yearling; soundly beaten over C&D on his second start and fared only marginally better when a weakening fourth of nine at Catterick (6f, good to firm) latest; improvement required on handicap debut.

Beaten approximately 4L when finishing fourth (50-1) to Macho Time at Redcar (6f, good) in July; that was by far the strongest of her three efforts to date; handicap debut.

Raced prominently throughout and dug deep in the heat of battle when beaten a short-head on nursery debut at Thirsk (6f, good to firm); failed to build upon that promising effort at Redcar 16 days ago; AW debut.

Finished 7L fifth (of ten) to Alben Spirit in a Pontefract maiden (6f, good to soft) last month; goes handicapping for the first time alongside stablemate Maurice Dancer.

Six-race maiden; has appeared to be regressing in nurseries (was slowly away latest) easing 8lb in the weights since introduced to these type of contests; is relatively unappealing.

Monsieur Bond gelding; has started at big prices on all three starts, offering little in the way of promise; should appreciate the switch to handicapping but can only be monitored for signs of improvement.

Fair third to Ventura Flame on nursery debut at Carlisle (5f, heavy) in August and met trouble in-running at Wolverhampton (fourth) next time; sporting a newly applied visor is a possible player if bouncing back swiftly from Redcar.

Showed speed here (7f) last month before weakening to finish seventh of 13 to the shock 33-1 winner Constitutional; a drop back to 6f could suit this seven-race maiden; that said, a few of the others are less exposed.

Forecasts

Captain Corelli (4/1), My Dandy Doc (7/1), Panist (15/2), Bertie's Princess (15/2), Maurice Dancer (8/1), Street Life (9/1), Dancing Leopard (11/1), Pearl Stream (14/1), Holloa (16/1), Newsical (16/1), Zain Storm (16/1), Jems Bond (20/1), Callipygian (25/1), Somekindasuperstar (28/1)

Verdict

Somekindasuperstar went into plenty of notebooks with a much improved C&D third (250-1), and with Josephine Gordon booked to ride could potentially make a splash on nursery debut from a fair opening mark of 65. Meanwhile, Tim Easterby's Holloa looked the part when going down fighting on her nursery debut at Thirsk and could be positively involved if bouncing back from a poor run at Redcar. Very similar comments apply to the selection STREET LIFE. If livened up by a newly applied visor, this very winnable Class 6 nursery could provide the perfect opportunity to shine.
