Verdict

If fit from his break, the Bated Breath colt DEFILADE can open his account at the third attempt. The Ger Lyons-trained three-year-old can improve enough to see off the attentions of the luckless Hazran who has finished in the runner-up position on all four starts this term. The Dermot Weld pair Insaan and Acapella Blu should not go unchecked while Magic Fountain for the father and son pairing of Aidan and Donnacha O'Brien is likely to improve on a disappointing effort at the Curragh last month.
