Well beaten in all four starts and showed no signs of improvement on last month's handicap debut. Does not look well treated at present and best to look elsewhere.

Nine-race maiden but has finished placed in her last three starts including on this surface. Stays this trip fine and another similar effort should see her involved again.

Returned to the promise of his debut with two solid thirds the last twice. Handles this surface and stays the mile and should be competitive again for an in-form yard.

Has yet to show much in his three starts to date, with his latest outing coming at Leicester (7f) where he was sixth of eight runners. Cheekpieces added for handicap debut and improvement needed off this opening mark.

Some signs of ability on debut but has regressed in two starts since. Hard to be confident he'll make the required improvement on handicap debut.

Has struggled in four starts to date including over this C&D the last twice. Dropped 3lb following her handicap debut but she's likely to need a further ease before she's in the money.

Has shown steady improvement in two placed starts since switching to handicap and shaped last time as though a return to this trip would help. Should be competitive once again.

Has raced to a consistent level in four starts to date with a best run over this distance. Down 2lb but this should prove too competitive.

Signs of ability in first three starts but much improved when a narrow third over this C&D on handicap debut last month. Pacy and if she can build on the run there's no reason why she shouldn't be involved again.

Finished fifth on his last two starts most recently when beaten 4¾L over 7f at Lingfield (good-to-firm) at the end of August. Visor worn for the first time that day is retained stepping up in trip. Others preferred.

Inconsistent form in five starts to date although his latest fourth was better and suggested he's worth another try at this far. Improvement still needed.

Let his backers down with a poor tailed off effort on handicap debut over this C&D after being the subject of a gamble. Hard to be confident in.

Failed to improve when a moderate fifth over this C&D on handicap debut before her saddle slipped last time at Wolverhampton. Likely to need to find some improvement to be involved.

Verdict

A competitive and open contest but the feeling is that TODAY POWER remains on an attractive mark after just failing to get up on handicap debut. Bacchalot and Souter Johnnie are arriving off the back of solid paced efforts and both look reliable types. Rochford is progressing and has more to offer at this trip while Disarming may be the main danger following a very good C&D effort.
  1. Today Power
  2. Disarming
  3. Rochford
