Only one in this field with chasing experience. Ended last season rated 146 as a hurdler so should really be considered one of the major players. Perhaps not open to as much improvement as his rivals though.
Makes seasonal comeback, and interesting that he is sent chasing on first run of the season given the progress he made for his trainer last season. Only a five-year-old, and should have plenty to offer in this sphere. Player.
Reached his ceiling over hurdles and now makes chasing debut. Slight concern that he is tackling the bigger obstacles for the first time out after a fall most recently. Place claims at best.
Makes chasing debut after follow-up bid over hurdles was foiled last time out. Stables runners tend to improve once sent over fences (Erick Le Rouge a recent example of this), and he is a likely contender.

Forecasts
Padleyourowncanoe (1/1), Monbeg Theatre (13/8), Rococo River (4/1), Tea Time On Mars (16/1), Point N Shoot (33/1)
Despite the small field, this is arguably the most intriguing race of the day. It is highly likely that both previous C&D winner Rococo River, and in particular Tea Time On Mars were still open to plenty more improvement over hurdles. Thus, it should be noted that connections of both horses are wasting no time in sending them over the larger obstacles. Monbeg Theatre is the highest rated of these over hurdles, but his form figures over fences (U3F) aren't that encouraging. Therefore, the selection is PADLEYOUROWNCANOE progressed again over hurdles last season (ended up with an OR of 140) and he should improve for a fence as so many from this source tend to do.
